USC New Grad summer 2011?

Hey! Just wondering if anyone else applied for USC's Versant program. I applied on the 13th (1 day before applications closed) for CVTICU & the abdominal tx ICU. Would be interested to see who else applied, and for which units. Good luck to us all :lol2:

Hi everyone,

It was great meeting some of you at the brunch yesterday. It was a great opportunity and I loved the hospital. I still don't get what was the role of that brunch though! Why inviting 35 people with a guided tour etc... to retain only 10. It could have been part of the orientation process. Some of us had to drive hundreds of miles including myself!!! Oh well good luck to everybody...

So is there anyone else besides me who is interviewing for a non cardiac/CVT ICU unit?

If my math is correct, there were 23 applicants CC'd on my email. If 12 of them are interviewing for the 4 cardiac/CVT ICU spots, that leaves 11 interviewees for 6 other positions (10 total spots). My two choices were the hem/onc/bone marrow transplant M/S unit and the abdominal transplant M/S unit. Does anyone know which other units they are hiring in?

If I understand correctly, 12 additional people who applied to cardiac/CVTICU were invited after the initial 23 applicants cc'd on the email received our invitation. So that makes a total of 35 applicants for 10 spots (2 in each of the hiring unit).

Does anyone know if the interview will be behavioral or clinical experience questions?

Has anyone who wasn't at the "meet and greet" on Friday received a phone call to set up an interview? She said she was going to call me after the brunch on Friday. Still haven't heard anything but I'm probably just being impatient :p

I was there at the brunch and they said they'll be calling to confirm our interviews for those who were there. And I've yet to receive a call so I wouldn't worry.

I was called around 6:30 pm Mon to verify the time & was later sent an email with all the info, including who will be on the panel. Such a long interview---1 hr :eek:

Is your interview this week, next week, or the week after? I'm curious when they are going to be scheduling them since I'm out of town. CTICU? Thanks

Same here, still waiting for T****'s call. Just a curiosity, is everyone who has not been called yet apply for CTICU? I feel like they are the only department falling behing schedule.
