URI RN to BSjust

Published

Just received my admittance to University of Rhode Island's RN to BS program online. I was wondering if anyone has done this program and if they liked it or not. I need 33 credits, 18 credits are nursing courses. My start date is in March.

There is a woman in my class that has been out of school for more than 20 years and she is now getting back to it. So don't feel discouraged! She's doing very well with a full time job and with small grandchildren

I stated before I needed 40 credits or so. Thankfully, only need about 18, what a difference. Glad I looked at it again. Finally get to sign up for my first class tomorrow, so excited! Took me a long time to decide to do this and it's finally here!

Thanks for all the info! I will begin in September, too! Definitely looking forward to getting started. I need 9 gen. ed. credits. I'm very happy with how many courses they accepted as transfer credits. Good luck!

I just received my acceptance for Sept 16. Ironically the initial class is already full so I'm taking Pharm first.

Congrats on your acceptance. Did you email or call the online nursing school to be sure NUR 247 is full and not a computer glitch? If you haven't already, I would verify since it would be odd that you couldn't take the initial course when accepted for that start date. Good luck!

I just got in touch with them and it was indeed a glitch!

Hi everyone! I'm currently working on the ADN program at CCRI. I just wanted to ask anyone who is already in the RN-BSN program what they think about taking more than 1 course at a time during a 7 week term. Also, how many terms are offered a year? As far as I can tell there are 4.

I'm in it now. I'm taking 2 courses this semester and it's manageable but doesn't leave you much extra time if you are working also. They are accelerated 7 week classes, so a lot of reading and writing each week.

Hi there! I was just wondering, could anyone here tell me how NUR 253 went? I start next week and do not know what to expect. I just finished NUR 247 & BPS 333.

Hi can anyone tell me their experience from URI?? How many credits did you have to do and how much did you pay all together?? I'm thinking of applying to URI. Thanks you!

Hi! Late to the forum but I was browsing RN-BSN options and I just wanted to say my experience with URI has been pretty bad. They dropped the ball with my admission, didn't take a majority of my transfer credits from CCRI even though they were both in the same system, never returned emails, would call me twice a day while I was sleeping (I work nights) after I asked them not to call. I'm two weeks into my first session and I've decided to go to a different program. The nail in the coffin was when my "tutor" took a week to message me back after I asked for help with my paper.
