I'm repplying for the PMHNP speciality and did not see a thread created so I figured I'd do it again! With the deadline passed, good luck to everyone who applied!

”I regret to inform you that due to limited positions and the competitiveness of the overall applicant pool, all available seats for the Summer 2021 entering class have been filled at this time.”
...rejected, right? But this was succeeded by:
“If you are interested in being placed on the waitlist, please submit the Waitlist Reply Form...”
So, not rejected??? I’d be curious to know if others who were rejected received the same mixed signals? Or if this is a typical waitlist “offer” for UPenn? The wording felt strange and ambiguous to me. Do they not have a set pool of candidates that they specifically put on their waitlist? Do they offer this only to certain rejected applicants just to see who’s truly still interested?
I honestly don’t know if I was waitlisted or rejected? Or both? Haha
thanks and congrats to those who got in!
Received this same message. Was even more confused after Googling the “waitlist” process for UPenn. I found a bunch of stuff that more or less said that few people are admitted off the waitlist. Granted that was a stat for the whole school and could mean nothing here. So I don’t know what that means for this program in particular. Have you found any info around this programs waitlist? # of people on this waitlist vs # of people accepted would be helpful. I’m refusing not to give up hope LOL. Good luck to you with everything as well!

Yep I got the exact same confusing/ vague waitlist "offer" for Midwifery. It kind of seems like a a surprisingly high number of us were waitlisted..?

Thanks Meg! That’s really helpful! I just sort of collecting info since getting a waitlist decision and was curious when accepted students needed to be making their decisions. Thanks again and huge congrats on your acceptance!

I also searched for information about the waitlist process at UPenn, but have not found much on the website. I have been looking into past forums to see when people began to be accepted of the waitlist, and it looks like it could be as early as February. According to the waitlist reply form, we should expect to hear a decision by April 15th. I’ll be on the lookout until then!

Got it! I looked at old forums too and saw folks reporting getting off the waitlist on March 23 last year. Someone, who I don’t believe got in, was saying they’d still not gotten a decision as of March 28th. I also noticed around about the first week of March people had examined their FinAid packages and were deciding not to attend. Hope that helps. If you’re like me you’re just gathering information and any info I’ve found has been helpful for me (mentally) so far. Hope this helps even a tiny bit! Good luck
Admitted to the Accelerated BSN/MSN for the WHNP specialty! SO excited! If anyone creates a facebook group for admitted students please let me know! Unsure of how to navigate housing etc.

Does anyone know if most people live in philly while completing these programs at Penn? Logistically is it a nightmare to be about 30/40 minutes outside of the city (in terms of parking at campus, clinical in the city, etc.)?
