 I'm repplying for the PMHNP speciality and did not see a thread created so I figured I'd do it again! With the deadline passed, good luck to everyone who applied!

I sent an email to the program director for peds acute care-oncology to ask about interviews (occurring vs not occurring), and I just received an email that they are sending formal invitations to applicants this week. She said tomorrow they will be sending quite a few.

 

I am not sure if this is just for peds acute-oncology, peds acute, peds in general, or all NP programs, but just wanted to share regardless.

Hi! I saw on your profile that you already have your BSN. When you applied to the MSN portion, did you have to record a video interview with prompts provided? 

I applied to the accelerated BSN with direct entry MSN and did a recorded video interview with prompts (Was wondering if this is only for accelerated BSN and BSN/MSN together). When I emailed Filomena (Associate Director of Enrollment Management Accelerated (Second Degree, BSN/MSN, RN Return) & Transfer Programs) she told me there would be no additional interviews.

Just wondering if additional interviews are for only MSN applicants or if people who applied for ABSN with direct entry MSN are included as well. Thanks!

I was wondering the same thing. I think the interviews would be for the MSN applicants only (those who already have a BSN). If interview invites are going out this week, they probably wouldnt interview until next week and then would probably need another 2 weeks or so for decisions. I think it would be too much for them to interview all of the ABSN-MSN applicants especially since we already did the video interview.

So this is it, right? We should find out decisions this week? Does anyone have any more information regarding decisions timeline?

Yes, we should find out decisions this week according to last years timeline. Latest would be next week. As for any more information regarding decision timeline, if any of us end up getting waitlisted, the latest we would find out about getting off the waitlist would be April.

Haven’t heard anything yet :-(. I guess we won’t find out till next week. Maybe the snow storm had something to do with the delay since most schools closed for a day

Decisions are out on the portal! I was waitlisted for the ABSN.

Was the decision just right there in front of you as soon as you signed in to the application? Like where it previously said "Status: Materials Received".... Or was there a separate document/letter with the decision? Just trying to brace myself for when I get home from work LOL.

Yeah you log into the application and get to where it previously said materials received and then it should say something like “an update has been made to your application on Feb 5”
