I'm repplying for the PMHNP speciality and did not see a thread created so I figured I'd do it again! With the deadline passed, good luck to everyone who applied!

Yes first week in feb was final decisions! I don't think every specialty has an interview, but I'm really not sure how they do it. It seems kinda random

Hi! I applied for the PMHNP specialty as well! Previous years they had a video interview, like the one we did, and a specialty interview (people would get notified for this and only some specialities did interviews). Filomena did say, however, that they are not planning on hosting interviews this year. I was a little confused too at first because when I submitted my application it said they would reach out if they needed an interview, but thats just an automated response from previous years. I emailed Filomena and she confirmed no interviews this year!
Would you guys mind sharing your stats such as GPA, what you got your degree in, and any previous healthcare experience?
Im still in school at the moment, with an expected graduation of May 2021. Currently on track to get my BA in Psych!

Sure!
I'm on track to graduate May 2021 as well with a BS in Neuroscience and a minor in Biotechnology/Bioengineering.
My institution GPA is a 3.36, but I transferred twice and have a few Summer credits, so if Penn recalculates my GPA (like other schools do using NursingCAS) it would be a 3.65 ????????.
My prerequisite GPA is a 3.83 and I am taking A&P II this semester.
In terms of previous experience, I have been working for the past 2.5 years as a physical therapy aide in an outpatient rehabilitation center. Prior to that I was the manager of a Haagen-Dazs ??.
At my school I do undergraduate research in the Neuroscience department on dyslexia, and I was the former president & recruitment chair of the Panhellenic council.
I found out last week that I got into Johns Hopkins, but Penn is definitely my #1 program so I'm really really hoping I get in. These next two weeks are gonna be so painful hahahah
Also thank you for the info about the interviews! I'm kind of happy we don't have to do a separate interview. I'm so burned out from all of these applications!

Sure! I am applying as a second career student. I graduated with my BA in 2009 (GPA 3.78). I have a masters degree in art therapy/counseling and I'm a LPC. I've been working as a mental health therapist for the past 10 years. I recently took the pre-req courses online and my pre-req GPA is a 4.0. I live in Philly and I'm not moving so I've only applied to Philly schools (Penn, Drexel, and Jefferson). Penn is my top choice so I'm really hoping to get in. If not, I will probably go to Drexel.

Hi! Nice to see folks with such diverse backgrounds. I also applied for Psych NP. I will complete my BSN in May. My GPA is currently 3.71. Nursing is my 2nd career (I also have a BA in Psych ? ). I worked in behavioral health case management for 8 years. I have been a RN for almost 6 years, a majority of that has also been in psych and Med-Surg/Tele. Good luck to all of us! The wait is a killer. LOL

Hi! I know on their website they say the acceptance rate for the Accelerated BSN portion is 25-30% but I'm not sure for the MSN portion.
