Is anyone aware if they are conducting interviews for the ABSN program? I have heard that they do not always interview each applicant and was curious!
Hi @ElizaP12! I believe they do. This is what the email said:
BSN Second Degree applicants (and applicants not invited to interview for the MSN and PhD) will also be invited to interview. Applicants will be contacted between November 14, 2017 and January 31, 2018 to schedule an interview, if invited. Please note due to the high volume of applicants, we may not be able to offer an in person interview. The interviews will be approximately 30 minutes and held with an Associate Director within the admissions office at the School of Nursing. The interview is a great opportunity to learn more about the program, answer any questions you may have about, the nursing school, campus and the city.

Does anyone know how much the whole program is going to cost?
The BSN tuition costs roughly $100,000 but I'm not 100% sure what the cost of the MSN portion is.

Where on their website did you see this? I've been poking around and can't find it. I was told there would be decisions made before Christmas break.

They sent out an e-mail a few days after application close explaining the deadlines and notification dates. If you haven't received it, check your spam folder.
@Vfalks Here you go! The total costs will be more to account for cost of living and such but just tuition is ~$100k https://www.nursing.upenn.edu/admissions/tuition-and-fees/accelerated-costs/
As far as decisions go, I know some applicants who apply to just the MSN portion will receive decisions before Christmas. From speaking with past applicants, everyone who applied to BSN/MSN programs got final decisions in early/mid-February. Hope this helps!
@Sb328 I'm assuming FNP applicants would hear back at the same time as everyone else in February but not totally sure since this is the first year they aren't conducting any interviews for this specialty.
There won't be FNP interviews this year so the notification date for FNP applicants will be the same as everyone else early Feb 2018 online where you submitted your application.
They are probably in the middle of reviewing applications. The e-mail from admissions asked us not to contact them until November 15th if we have any questions with regards to our applications so my guess is admissions won't be very responsive until after Nov 15th.
I don't remember if anyone already posted the e-mail we received from admissions with regards to deadlines and notifications so I will post again just in case some people didn't get it or it was sent to their spam folder

Application Status:
At this time, the Accelerated Application Checklist is currently not updated, the processing of transcripts and GRE scores will take an additional 2-3 weeks to complete. Please wait until November 15th to see if all application materials have been received. If the checklist states something is missing at that time, feel free to contact us. Please note it does not affect the applicant if admissions materials are missing from the application, as we attempt to give as much notice as possible to submit any missing items.
Please do not contact us at this time, to determine if your application is complete, as we are unable to confirm if all materials have been received.
For BSN Second Degree applicants the GRE is NOT required and if it is noted as missing on your application portal, please do not worry, we will update your application over the next few weeks.
Interviews for BSN/MSN/or DNP & the Hillman BSN-PhD applicants:
BSN/MSN/or DNP (excludes the Family Nurse Practitioner Specialty) and BSN-PhD applicants will be invited to interview by the faculty and the interviews may be held in person or via phone. The interview dates for the BSN/MSN-/DNP & the Hillman BSN-PhD programs are posted below.
An email regarding the invitation to interview will be forwarded on November 14, 2017. If a BSN/MSN/orDNP or BSN-PhD applicant is not invited to interview for the MSN, DNP or PhD, the applicant will be considered for the BSN Second Degree program.
Please note you do not have to attend the interview in person, scheduling a phone interview will not affect your application. We have applicants from across the county and internationally and understand it may be difficult to visit campus.
BSN/MSN Family NP specialty – please note due to the high number of applicants and limited faculty we are unable to host interviews, but we will be hosting a webinar (date TBD) with the faculty and current students to learn more about the program.

I just re-read the e-mail myself and just realized the the notifications for interviews are going to be sent starting November 14th which is next Tuesday. I didn't realize time had passed so quickly and interview invites are coming out. Good luck to everyone.
