I had an ectopic pregnancy on my ovary as well. Are they monitoring your Hcg every other day? Hopefully you can get a feel if your numbers are going down, and if the methotrexate is working. It took me a good week to get back to feeling myself, after a few days of nausea. I hope you recover quickly. I am so sorry you are going through this.
I'm so sorry you're going thru this difficult time. It's great that you have a supportive faculty and fellow students who are helping you with the material you're missing.. I know how disturbing it is to miss even one day of lecture!
Please let your body and spirit heal from this, and whatever it takes to make your husband understand that you need this time in bed, talk to him. Pull him down to your level and look him in the eye and tell him how you're feeling and that you know he feels it too.. hopefully that will help him remember that you cannot do the things he's asking you to do. A previous poster is right, I'm sure he's not thinking straight now.
I hope your recovery is swift and that you aren't required to have the surgery.
((((((((((((((((((hugs)))))))))))))))))
we're here for you honey!
sorry to hear about your loss. After going through infertility, including two miscarriages and two ectopics, I always blink when I see those "I'm pregnant!" postings...it was always in the back of my mind that being pregnant doesn't mean you were going to have a baby...but that's my own issue.
BTW, with my last pregnancy, I was 7 weeks pregnant and the cysts ruptured on my remaining ovary. I was admitted. When my hemoglobin stabilized at 7, they sent me home. I wasn't home 10 minutes when **something** happened. I almost passed out, had abdominal pain, and could "feel" myself going into shock. Went back by ambulance with two large bore IV's, went back into ER, where the ER doc was asking me my history and I was telling him to get my chart (I still had my wrist band on). Anyway, after hearing him say type and cross-match (hemoglobin was now down to 4), figured I was in big trouble. They rushed me into surgery and found a ruptured ectopic. Now mind you I am 7 weeks pregnant with a UTERINE pregnancy and there was an ectopic pregnancy as well. Despite significant blood loss, surgery, morphine pump, the lil one never missed a beat. She turns 11 next week. (Also they went back and looked at the ultrasounds from the original admission and never could see the ectopic...)
moral of the story, THANK GOD they caught it or you wouldn't be posting here today. And make sure they watch for it next time...

I'm not generally a very open person. I like to keep my personal things private. But this, I can't deal with alone and have a hard time confiding in my friends in real life. So, any kinds words would be appreciated.
As I wrote before, I found out thursday that I was pregnant with my second baby. We were so excited. But then, I started spotting just barely with slight cramps. It was Labor Day, so I couldn't get to my doctor's office, so I had to go to the ER.
Good thing I did, because they finally found out that this pregnancy is ectopic.
So now I'm miserable. I just got out of the hospital, but the chemo drug they gave me to expel all the fetal tissues is still in my system, so I feel like crap. And if this doesn't work by my appointment next week, I have to have surgery to have my entire ovary removed.
I have to miss 2 days of class this week.... 2 lectures and 1 lab. My teachers are being great about it, though. They're going to let me make up the lab and my friend is taping the lectures for me.
I'm ordered bedrest, but my hubby doesn't get it. He keeps asking me to get up to get the phone, help put groceries away, etc. I don't know what to do. The doctor told HIM too that I am on to be on bedrest with only bathroom priviledges. I am so mad at him right now, I wish I could stay the week with my parents (but that's not feasible anyway).
So, sorry for being so long, but I just needed to get this out. Thanks for "listening."
