Hi there. I am applying for the UofA MEPN 2021 program this Fall, and thought I'd open up this thread for others also applying at this time.
A little about me - I was originally going to apply for the 2020 program, but delayed it a year due to the birth of my youngest in late 2019. I have quite a bit of healthcare experience before the birth of my children, as well as volunteer experience in other areas. I haven't taken the HESI yet, but my stats are 3.5 (last 60), and 3.8 (prerequisites). I have a Bachelors degree in Biology, and am *really* hopeful to make it into this MEPN program. My goal is to be a Nurse Practitioner ? One of my aspirations is to serve impoverished communities in third world countries.
Would love to hear from others, and open up dialogue regarding questions and general advice.
Anyone else attending the open-house Q/A session on the 8? Got an email for that....
Yep, I'll be there! It's nice of them to do this, though it's interesting that they're holding this Meet & Greet BEFORE final admissions ...
At this time, I'm most interested in hearing about how our classes/labs/clinicals will be conducted- online lectures or in person lectures, etc. Basically, how Covid will affect our education ?
I'll be there as well ? I think its supposed to be similar to like how previous years they had students and faculty available to talk to after your in person interviews. Sort of like an unwind after the interviews and what not.

I plan to attend, but have to join late due to work. I'm glad they are recording it! I am curious to hear about current student experiences, but would love to know if there's anything from the prerequisites that we should definitely review before the program begins. ?
I just wanna puke... keep checking my email... but based on my research and observation LOL, I think the school will send out the email this afternoon at 3:36pm LOL. Good luck.. I just cannot concentrate on anything else but thinking of this email...
