*Unofficially* passed the NCLEX-RN!!

Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

I just had to post on here that I took my NCLEX-RN on Wednesday and found out this morning that I passed with 78 questions! (unofficial results) It is such a relief!!

It wasn't too bad. I had mostly SATA and Priority questions. Some I had to guess on. When i walked out, I felt neutral....not like I passed but not like I failed.

Congratulations! Being that it is now 2 days after your exam, I suspect that you paid for the quick results. That is done well after the 2nd scoring is done so it should be very, very accurate. Keep your eyes on your BRN website, wherever they post licensing information, and I would be very surprised if you did not eventually see a license number show up next to your name.

Personally, I think that going 78 questions is about like doing 75. You probably had a couple of questions early on that were scored that were probably right at the pass/fail line and then climbed up off that line and stayed there for 60 more questions. I am not surprised that you felt neutral about the exam after you were done. It's really kind of difficult to gauge how well you did based on how you felt simply because the NCLEX is designed to find your limits and eventually you will probably approach 50% pass fail on your questions as it will bounce between questions you're able to answer correctly and incorrectly.

When I was in school (and I suspect most of us are like this), I knew generally how well I did on exams. Because of how the NCLEX works, I had no clue about how well I did... Turns out that I passed, but I just had no idea. All I knew is that it shut off at 75 so I must have either passed easily or failed miserably...

If you mean you found out via Quick Results, those ARE official results from PV on the status of your exam.....it does not indicate you will get a license, so that part is 'unofficial', but the exam results ARE.

I took mine on Thursday and had official results form my state board of nursing on Friday morning - before they were available on the Pearson site!

Once you finish, if you attempt to register again, and they won't let you, you passed.
