    time off

I hav a question, my manager has been working for some yrs. she found out the new staff receives more vacation days then when she started seveal year ago. she was not happy and started to go to HR demanding to get paid. HR refused her and now she is taking days away from our vacation. She said she will not approve our dys off and wil figure out excuse to justify it for ex coverage so if we get 28 days, she wants us to have 21 days. and will not approve more than 21 days and will count. How to i handle this? every1 is her ally. it is confusin. i am older but i do not like arguing and i just startd job 3-4 month ago.

    Nursing Labor laws salary employee

yeah i thought the same with NO overtime pay, but i read the policy for workers (exempt and non) and it sayus we can get OT if it is approved by manager, the problem isnt even about OT bc the salary is decent, but the problem is the DEMAND of having to work past 5pm and its only towards ME nobody else. which i think is unfair, plus I dont eat lunch several days out of the week and i told maneger and nobody cares :!

    Nursing Labor laws salary employee

I posted a comment before but earlier this week my manager told me because I am salary, i cannot claim overtime (when the policy states i can), then the manager proceeded on to say "i can make you work as much as i want", i do not work in a hospital setting its more an outpatient, everybody is out of the office at 5pm I dont even get to eat lunch many days out of the week because there is so much work. I don tknow how to tackle this? I told the supervising MD he agrees I should be going home at a decent time. I also informed manager that basically, I live 1.5 hours away, i need to leave at a reasonable time, manager didnt care. I also noticed work is being given at 3:40 and the manager well on knows that it will take more than 1 hour to complete it (which pushes me over 5). How do i tackle this?

    New Grad Salary in NYC

No actually that is true because I have two relatives who work in HR and I worked at both facilities also Cornell is a part of the medical College even though they're affiliated with Presbyterian their salaries are independent because Cornell is more clinic whereas Presbyterian is more hospital

    Nursing Labor laws?

Hi! thanks for responding, yes, all the RN's are Salary where i work. Union included. I am not getting paid overtime as i am salary...so with that being said, I stay and work 10 hours every day almost while the other union RN gets to leave.
