Hi NP hopefuls! Starting a thread for those applying to the UVic NP Program for fall 2025. I am an RN who graduated from U of C in 2020 and have been working in cardiology in Calgary since.

I just spoke to UNBC and they said with UVIC making decisions this week there may be some movement in their waitlist if you were waitlisted. They also said feedback emails will go out on how to strengthen your application. Hopefully UVIC can provide the same. Trying not to spiral, feeling pretty gutted of two years of rejection and a year of so much hard work, school classes and nursing courses.

Has anyone on here who was accepted to UVic, already been accepted to other schools and already accepted a seat outside of UVic?

Any idea on when people will start hearing about waitlist vs decline ? I'm trying to gauge when I should get defeated and avoid false hope

Following this thread as I am also anxiously waiting some movement on the portal. I applied to UBC and UVic under the Post-MN pathway. I was waitlisted at UBC this year. Has anyone heard anything who applied the Post-MN NP route?

Is there a post MN for UBC too? Were you waitlisted on your post MN for UVic as well?

For UBC, It's just the MN-NP. My portal has not changed from UVic yet (Post-MN NP application), still waiting to hear something!

I was waitlisted at UBC and "recommended by department" at UVIC. I will likely remove myself off the waitlist at UBC, not that helpful though since UBC doesn't tell you where you are on the waitlist.

Mine is still under review by department . Haven't heard anything else.

They emailed me at 130 saying I was #3 on the waitlist

Did anything change for you on the portal? Does it still say under review by department ?
