Hello Everyone!!
It is finally my time to post to this forum! EXCITING!!! I did not see a thread for Fall 2020 and I might be SUUUUPER early but man that nursing application process takes proper a year doesn't it?
I am done with all my general courses and TEAS except for nursing chem, one elective (health and human disease), Patho, Pharm, and Intro to Nursing. I plan to take CHEM 1451 and HEED 4312 in the Fall 19 semester, apply in January, and then while waiting on that, take Patho and Intro to Nursing in Spring 2020 and Pharm by itself in Summer 2020.
I have an A in Micro, A&P 1, and A&P 2. This has been a LOOOONG journey and I cannot wait to start!
Hi, All! I just joined your group, and I'm so glad I found it.
I applied for the Fall 2020 online program. I am not partnered, so I'm a little nervous how many they take from the partnered pool of applicants before moving on to the rest of us. Anyone have any insight into how it works? The minimum GPA is 2.75, but surely they don't extend offers to all partnered applicants at that GPA or above? Or maybe they do!
I have the following points for ranking. Fingers crossed...
Any idea of my chances without being partnered? Also wondering what the number applying and accepted have been in the past couple of semesters, if anyone knows.
I have patho and pharm to complete. I'm taking patho this spring and pharm in the summer. I took Chem, A&P II, and Microbiology this fall. I thought Chem was going to kill me! Ready for only one class this Spring!

Your stats are extremely competitive.I don’t see a reason why you would not get accepted. Fall is extremely competitive, but your grades are almost perfect. Great work and best of luck to you !
Thanks for the encouraging words, Kevin! I have no time to waste! I'm making this career change later in life. Most days I think I've lost my mind, but I keep telling myself it's not too late, and it will be worth it!

- .5 previous bachelors degree
- .5 12 hours science at UTA

Crazy stats!! I'd be surprised if you didn't get in ? I'm taking patho this spring as well! Maybe we'll see each other on the student roster. I think there is going to be a groupme created for patho so I'll link it here when it is made
Nice Stats Traci! You are definately on the upper end of the bell curve. What clinical site are you applying for? Me I am applying for the clinical site in Edinburg Texas. I guess since everyone is posting their states I could share mine. I have a general gpa of 3.865 and a science gpa of 3.938. I have a bachelors degree in biological science so that is an extra .5. Not partnered. So I have a total 8.303. Im keeping my fingers crossed that I get in.
I still have to take pharmacology and intro to nursing in the spring. I will be taking technical writing and intro to sociology in the summer.

For the fall application season I would say no unless you can finish the course before the application deadline.
Hello everyone, I’m applying to the on campus upper division program. My stats are:
Cumulative GPA: 3.525
Science GPA: 3.500
Consideration:
.5 - 4 science classes at UTA
.5- 30/ more credit hours at UTA
OVERALL POINTS: 8.025
Is my overall GPA good enough or should I apply to another program just in case. I’m so nervous because I took much longer than I expected on my pre-reqs.
