Anyone have any insight on this program? I'm in the process of applying and would love to know about the school!
Congrats for UM and I wish you all the best. Yeah it will be a little more but that is ok because there are so many opportunities for nurses to get assistance with paying off nursing school. I don't think yours will cost as much as mine...I applied to a college in Pennslyvania and two in New York.
I came to my decision when I realized that several schools up north have an accelerated nursing program for Bachelor degree holders and after you complete the 18mo BSN you have an opportunity of getting into the Masters program which only takes a year. Therefore, I have an opportunity of obtaining ARNP alot sooner than normal.
Overall, I have my fingers crossed and Im praying to get in somewhere. You are on your way to being a nurse...go girl! Please keep in touch.:)

Hi, first of all I'm new here (this is my first post!!!). I just applied today for Fall 2010 cohort. I see a couple of you got waitlisted, and I was wondering if you could tell me what GPAs you had. I dont have a high GPA, its 3.06. So far I have applied to USF and Kent State Uni. I do not have a priority, but I'm getting nervous.
krinz86,
I'm applying for the Fall 2010 cohort, too, so I can't answer your question about the alternates. However, I did attend the live information session at USF this morning and I can tell you that the guy leading the session said that in each of the last two semesters an applicant with a 3.01 was admitted to the accelerated program. He said if your GPA is on the low side the most important factors are how you did in the prerequisite science courses (A&P I&II, micro, stats, and chemistry) and whether you have healthcare experience on your resume or not. Hope this helps!
