  1. Thanks everyone, Emily42 the 3 week sub from NCSBN was about 50 bucks. I read through the majority of it and did most of the practice tests but I didnt finish the whole thing. The website is NCSBN Learning Extension . NCLEX preparation . Continuing Education for Nurses . Nursing Faculty Education and the subscription info will come up on the website. All the best on your exam!!
  2. Thank you so much BolBol and californiaboy!! BolBol, you got the good pop up too...well that is a good sign. I think I did the pearsonvue trick thing over a hundred times, many of my friends that have passed before me told me that it works. One person didn't pass and it asked for their credit card infomation. I am sure you passed with flying colors!! Did you check on the board of nursing website in your state? Usually the next day you can see your status. Yeah, those resources really helped me and alot of prayers :) All the best
  3. Hi everyone, I just passed yesterday with 265. I got the good pop-up and I found out I passed this morning. Good luck to everyone.
  4. I graduated in Dec 2012 with the holidays and work, I ended up studying a little the beginning of January. I really started studying hard end of January throughout Feb. I used NCSBN and did the 3 week subscription twice. They had alot of great questions and material with similar questions to NCLEX. I used Saunders to practice 50-100 questions per day. I also read through a Marlene Hurst book that gave general ideas about charts, ADPIE, and test anxiety. I also purchased Prioritization, Delegation, and assignment book by Mosby. I did about half of the book and got a good understanding of priority and delegation. I also looked through Kaplan for different diseases, diagnostic tests, diets, ect. Day before exam: I didn't take any phone calls the day before the test I just reviewed labs and other areas that I felt weak in. I took my test and it ended at 265! I was nervous, but, I kept praying and tried to stay positive throughout my test. I found out I passed the next day. Study hard, pray hard, and believe in yourself because you know waaaaay more than you think you know. I can truly say it doesn't matter what number your test shuts off at all that matters is you passing. Good Luck to all and remember these words...YOU CAN DO IT! :) Resources: #1 Ncsbn, Saunders (core content & questions), Marlene Hurst (general overview of nclex topics), Kaplan RN Course book (resource book for: diseases, labs, ethics, maternity specifics..alot of reading), Mosby NCLEX Prioritization Assgn, Deleg (quest and details about deleg & priorities)
  5. haimyem, I wasn't an alternate. I got accepted through the earn as you learn program with Morton Plant Hospital. Thank you for the well wishes. How are things going with you.
  6. I got accepted! yah!! I recently attended the orientation and my was it overwhelming...but, by God's grace I will be fine.
  7. I went on to the second interview for Jan 2011.....Im just patiently waiting to get the call in order to know if accepted or not :/
  8. Hello Dreamer-RN, Im still trying to get use to this system. Its unfortunate that I cant send private messages yet I was trying to find a way to send you my email or something of that nature so that I can speak with you more about the housing options and other questions that I have. One general question is when I was doing my undergrad at USF, I was able to register for all the classes, so I have the same mindset and I was registering for the classes for this program. Do we have to register for the classes or do they automatically register us for the courses?? Thank you so much for sharing the info that you know with me.
  9. I applied there but still havent heard anything from them yet
  10. Hello, DreamerRN, I was just accepted for the APW program. How was the program?? I am moving up to PA from Florida for a new experience. I don't know anyone there and Im concerned about housing and a bunch of other stuff. I would love any advice you have for me as for as the program, housing, etc. Thank You
  11. Hello, I was just accepted to the Fall 2010 APW. I dont know anyone from PA. Has anyone else been accepted that would like to link up...Please let me know...:)
  12. Congrats for UM and I wish you all the best. Yeah it will be a little more but that is ok because there are so many opportunities for nurses to get assistance with paying off nursing school. I don't think yours will cost as much as mine...I applied to a college in Pennslyvania and two in New York. I came to my decision when I realized that several schools up north have an accelerated nursing program for Bachelor degree holders and after you complete the 18mo BSN you have an opportunity of getting into the Masters program which only takes a year. Therefore, I have an opportunity of obtaining ARNP alot sooner than normal. Overall, I have my fingers crossed and Im praying to get in somewhere. You are on your way to being a nurse...go girl! Please keep in touch.:)
  13. I was denied also.... I guess all of their accepted students will be attending the summer program! I had a little back up plan so Im waiting on some other schools. Good luck guys.
  14. Hey alternates, I havent heard anything either......
  15. I called them today and they said that the alternates will know something by Monday April 12. We have only a couple of days left...good luck to all of us!
