I called them today and they said that the alternates will know something by Monday April 12. We have only a couple of days left...good luck to all of us!

im with you! I dont think I can wait anymore, it is so tiring!! I'm guessing they are letting us all know on one day? Did they say anything about that?

I don't know. I guess they are waiting to let us all know at one time....I thought it would have been over the days, but looks like thats not the case. :confused:

I know this is a little off of the wait list/alternates topic, but I'm applying for the Fall semester and I was wondering if you guys could tell me whether the program accepts an upper-level psych class for prereqs or whether it has to be general psychology. Also, do you absolutely have to apply to USF undergrad the semester before or is that just a suggestion? Thank you so much!!!

I am pretty sure they only accept the general psychology, i saw somebody ask that question. You can go on the website and check, just to make sure. You dont have to apply for summer undergrad if you are applyining for Fall, they just suggest that just if you can take patho prior to starting the accelerated program.

I am also going to try and apply for the fall semester. I have already been accepted to UM and hearing from other schools, but I am just trying to weigh all my options. Does the admissions committee review applications on a rolling basis, or do they only start looking at them only after the due date??? I would really want to know earlier than June because I live far away from FL. There is sooo much to think about!! :confused:

they only start looking at them after the due date. They notify you within a week or two after the due date.

Thanks so much for replying, straderj! I won't worry so much about being too late for the undergrad application, then :). Also, I just wanted anyone who had the same question about the psych course to know that I was actually able to talk to someone from the admissions office today and she said that any course with the psych (or sociology, or social psychology) designation would fulfill the requirement. Had to double check it because that was the only thing keeping me from being able to apply! Oh, and it's great that they tell you so soon after the due date, thanks for that info, too!

I don't know... I turned in my application the first week of Jan. and heard back very soon after the due date. I think turning it in early gets you some credit... When I asked admissions they said it just puts you on the top of the stack...
