University of South Alabama DNP Fall 2021

Published

Hello there! I just wanted to start this thread to see if there were any people applying to USA for next fall for their nurse practitioner program? I am applying to the BSN to DNP-Neonatal Nurse Practitioner program. Anyone know how the current pandemic might affect the application process? Thank you all in advanced, looking forward to hearing from you all and starting this journey. Also, I am currently based in FL, anyone else from out of state care to share their experiences with this program being online and all? How was it finding a clinical site and preceptor?

That's fantastic ? my transcripts took awhile but that was over the holidays. The final verification after I completed my application was only a few days which shocked me since they said to expect 2-4 weeks. Good luck with your application!

I'm glad they extended the deadline. I have a bunch of transcripts and 3 left to arrive. I'm just so ready to get started.

Yesterday was the second time they got me excited with an update email saying forms had been received and the deadline was extended ? I get so hyped seeing the "College of Nursing" in my mailbox only to have the rug pulled out ?

Did you see the thread I boosted a couple weeks ago where someone gave her experience with the program so far? ?

Dang I just realized you said awhile back you didn't go through with the secondary application. ? I imagine waiting for any other program to respond is just as nerve wracking though LOL. Is the USA still sending you the reminder emails too? Probably trying to convince you to finish ?

Yes that one. There's a few spots where she goes into details about her first year and how things changed. and YAY! Either way I wish you the best. Options are always good too :)

Wow!! Application finally in the “Complete” stage. Now waiting for “Verification” notification so that I can do the supplemental application and be done with application!

I can’t believe how long it took for all my transcripts to get there.

Hopefully that part is as quick for you as mine was but with the extension now you're just like us, in a hurry to wait lolol.

I sure hope so. Things have to start changing for me career-wise. I want this change.

I feel that on some seriously deep levels friend. Covid changed a lot of my goals with my career and now more than ever I want to try to make a difference before I'm seeing patients vented.
