University of South Alabama DNP Fall 2021

Hello there! I just wanted to start this thread to see if there were any people applying to USA for next fall for their nurse practitioner program? I am applying to the BSN to DNP-Neonatal Nurse Practitioner program. Anyone know how the current pandemic might affect the application process? Thank you all in advanced, looking forward to hearing from you all and starting this journey. Also, I am currently based in FL, anyone else from out of state care to share their experiences with this program being online and all? How was it finding a clinical site and preceptor?

My email said that the Nurscas deadline was March 1 but the Supplemental application was the one that got extended.

Do any of you know how to check your application status on South Alabama's website?  I know my app is complete but there was a link that you could sign into that showed a submitted application.  I can't access it now.

So I just went to the supplemental application email and logged in from there. It shows my current status as submitted

Btw, if you submitted your supplemental application after they went through the site update (which is what is being linked), you won't see your submitted application.

Hi guys,

Has anyone heard back anything from the school yet? I applied for the AGAC NP track for the fall. The last email I have from them was around mid Feb informing us that they're reviewing applications and would make decisions two weeks from then.

The suspense is killing me! I am waiting to hear back from other schools that I applied as well. Best of luck to all of us!

According to the last email I received, decisions will be made early next week for the first batch of applicants.

If you had your application in before the initial February deadline then you should hear something in the next week.
