Were you expecting shorter or longer? It really depends on how fast you want to do it but I think the minimum you can squeeze it into is 3.5 years if I remember from when I did the math. Mine will be 5 years because not only am I in the dual role track (so the MSN clinicals take 2 years by themselves) but I also added 2 subspecialty courses that I'll be doing while I work on my DNP portion. The advisor that helped people set up their classes to fit their preferred schedule was really awesome when I messaged her and explained I had already kind of made my own course calandar and she helped me tweak it so everything was spaced out how I wanted it while maintaining full time status. I could've done mine faster but I work full time and can't afford to cut much so I don't mind taking it slower so I can do both well.

No problem. When you register for classes try and get into a section where the course coordinator is ALSO your section instructor. It seems silly but from what I've heard from the students who did that is that it's a lot easier to get questions answered and then you know your information is coming from the top. So I ended up with a mid-90 in Patho. There is a facebook group called University of South Alabama MSN/DNP and the study groups from that helped a lot. They have sub groups for all the first year classes. I'm fairly disappointed in the way Patho was "taught" because there were no recorded lectures or materials directly from the instructor except power point slides that were provided without context. You're expected to teach yourself strictly out of the assigned reading and supplemental materials which was a lot of Khan academy. Basically made me question why we're paying tuition to the college since the instructor did minimal in the way of teaching. TLDR: I did OK because I found help and forced myself to do all the things. You have to be very self motivated. I'm currently in pharm and it's slightly better, at least there are a few recorded lectures along with the massive amounts of reading. But it's a lot and again the facebook group is saving my butt.

I'm in patho right now but I know on Canvas there are specific discussions in each unit module for students to connect for study groups. Does Pharm have that section? You might be able to reach out to someone that way. Good Luck! ??

I do agree that it was a horrible mistake. It's definitely something that deserved more than just a "please disregard." I am tremendously grateful that you were accepted to another program that will allow you to continue with your goals. I know I have been working on collecting a list of scholarships to apply for while I'm in the program to help offset my financial burden during school so I hope that you are also able to find the same opportunities. And in the end, don't give up hope until you here SOMETHING. We were all freaking when news still hadn't come but then the news started coming in fast! LOL now I'm worried I missed something. What was the Google Doc? I haven't done anything except what's been required in castlebranch and I'm still a few requirements away from done on that. I was speaking about the link to the acceptance packet in the email and I think she found that as well
