University of San Diego MEPN FALL 2021

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hi everyone. Just starting a thread for those who are applying for USD's MEPN Program for Fall 2021. I just finished my undergrad in Allied Health. I have done my prereqs previously. For nursingCAS, are we required to take TEAS test? I do not know how will I start with my application. Anyone here had previously applied and reapplying again?

@Greennurse42 I don't think there would be in-person interviews. I believe if there are still any interviews, it's going to be virtual. During the virtual info session, they mentioned that (virtual) interviews could be sometime around January. Not sure though if I heard it right.

I don’t recall - I hope the virtual interviews happen! It is an important part of the application.

hey all! good luck to all of us :) just commenting to follow the thread

Hello everyone!

I thought it would be a good idea to follow this thread since its frequently updated by current applicants.

I graduated with my B.S in biology from Cal Poly Pomona in 2019 and took a gap year to obtain patient care hours. I have been a medical scribe/translator at a family medical clinic for the past 3 and a half years. This is my first time applying, I finally bit the bullet after putting off applications due to fear of failure. I am very excited to see how these next following weeks will turn out for all of us, and wish us all nothing but the best of luck!

Hi guys! I am new to this thread but I am a recent graduate with a BS in Neuroscience from UC Riverside and I just applied for this program! Do y'all know when acceptances will come out? I hate the waiting game and I'm so anxious about the results ? Good luck to everyone!

This was from the email I got previously>>> USD MEPN Timeline:

Application Deadline:                                October 15, 2020
Application Review:                                   October 15-December 15, 2020
Committee Review:                                    January 2021
Decision Notifications:                              Mid-February to Early March 2021        Waiting game sucks but hopefully our patience pays off in the end! Do you guys think there are lots of people who applied for the program? I’ve seen previous threads for the past years. It seems like there are less applicants this time. Or probably not just commenting on our thread and just reading.. LOL...

Hi everyone! Commenting to follow this thread as well ? I graduated from Tulane University in 2019 with a BS in Public Health and International Development. I completed my prerequisites and EMT certification at the community college in my area and am now working as an EMT/medical case manager for a SUD treatment program for pregnant and postpartum women.

I wanted to give you all a heads up about making your MySanDiego portal, which I just learned about from the USD MEPN Fall 2020 page. Go to this page, click on "Graduate Applicants," enter your last name and NursingCAS ID, and it will let you retrieve your username and password. You would then go to Admissions > Applicant. I'm sure they will email us instructions for this later, but hopefully this is helpful for people who are as impatient as I am haha! Good luck everybody!!
