Hi everyone. Just starting a thread for those who are applying for USD's MEPN Program for Fall 2021. I just finished my undergrad in Allied Health. I have done my prereqs previously. For nursingCAS, are we required to take TEAS test? I do not know how will I start with my application. Anyone here had previously applied and reapplying again?

Hey everyone! I hope you are having a nice holiday season! I was wondering if anyone reached out to USD to clarify if they are or aren't going to hold interviews this year? When I attended the info session a while back they mentioned they might have a zoom-like interview process but they seemed very unsure. However, I'm getting the feeling now that they aren't doing interviews since there was no mention of it in the application timeline. Anyway I'm getting kind of anxious and would appreciate some sort of an update/clarification from them LOL.

Hey! As of the webinar on 9/12, they were going to do interviews via Zoom. They told us then that notifications would be sent in January, conducted between January and February, and final decisions would be sent out in March. In that session, they said they anticipated offering 120-130 interviews. I haven't seen anything saying they won't be doing interviews this year so I'm assuming for now that things will go as planned!

I got this email below on 10/18/2020. No interviews this year due to Covid19.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------Thank you for submitting your application to our Master's Entry Program in Nursing!     Below is the application review timeline.   Due to Covid19, we will not be hosting on-campus interviews.  Please reach out to me at [email protected] if you have any questions.

Application Deadline:                                October 15, 2020
Application Review:                                   October 15-December 15, 2020
Committee Review:                                    January 2021
Decision Notifications:                              Mid-February to Early March 2021

Does anyone else's application status still say "Incomplete - items outstanding"? I'm pretty positive that I've sent in all my documents and transcripts so I was just wondering if anyone else is in the same boat as me.

Yes mine still says that on the mysandiego portal but my application on NursingCAS was verified so I think it's fine. I keep checking the portal obsessively though just hoping for some sort of update. I'm dying waiting for a response ughh I didn't realize how long the wait would feel.

Ahh, glad to know that I'm not the only one! I've also been checking every other day for any updates haha. February can't come soon enough!

Yes. It says the same thing for me also. 

We are now in mid January. Can we expect updates this week with our application information?

Is there anyone who has applied to USD in the past? When can we expect updates?

I didn't apply last year but I was reading last year's thread. Last time, interview invitations were sent out on January. Not sure how long will be the wait this time. It would be nice if the results come out this month so we can plan ahead.

I’m thinking of sending an email to see if they’ll tell me anything haha. Like if they typically would be giving interview invites RN, they must already have narrowed down the applicant pool. IDK it’d be nice to get an update

I don't think they're doing interviews. ---------------------- had sent out a timeline that says that committee review is January and decisions will be sent out mid feb to early march
