I just got accepted into U of R's accelerated bachelors nursing program. Just wanted to start a thread to see who else is going there!

Hey Jane,

I just recently put a security deposit for the hosue on 168 Irvington. I haven't met the other incoming girl yet, but would love to start corresponding w/others that are coming in. I don't think I have mailing compabilities yet here. Let me know if you end up going!!

Well I created a facebook group for the class of 2012. you should be able to search for University of Rochester ABPNN - Class of 2012 and find it. Unfortunately, facebook changed the way groups work, so it's not as pretty as the old group pages were. Looking forward to January!

Rok33 and others that are concerned: I called today to check (probably my 4th time calling for my status...I'm sure admissions is annoyed by now), and was notified that more letters were sent out yesterday. I'm put on the waiting list though, and the list goes until January. If you don't receive anything within the next couple days, maybe you should call?

Does anyone know whether everyone who are denied gets put on the waitlist, or just certain individuals?

from what I knew when I was going through this last november (for May 2010, I am a member of the May cohort) is that there are people who do not get in. You will know by some certain date whether you are wait listed, in or denied. If you are wait listed and do not get accepted officially they do put an option out sometimes of joining the may cohort if you are interested. Letters for the may cohort start going out at Thanksgiving. How they determine the criteria of who gets in and who does not I do not know.

Did anyone else here submit an application for starting in Summer 2011?

I sent in my admissions app. about 3 weeks ago, and haven't heard anything back yet.

@samianquazi - I just heard from the UR nursing program to schedule an interview for early December.

@samianquazi - I spoke to someone in admissions this morning she told me that interviews will be scheduled into January and acceptances etc will be sent out from January through February.

@rin2483- How far in advance of the deadline did you submit your application? (I'm just wondering if that has anything to do with how early they schedule the interviews)

Thanks rin2483! I submitted about a week before the deadline, but they did not list my supplemental documents as "received" until last week. Ugh I really hope I don't have to wait until January...

Hey all! I applied to the ABPNN for Summer 2012 (mid-May start).

I submitted my online application for the in the beginning of September and handed in my supplemental information to ******* a few days following that, which was marked as 'received' a couple of days after.

****** contacted me to arrange an interview the first week of November when they began to schedule them. I am meeting with Dr. ************ to interview tomorrow morning.

I go to University of Rochester as an undergrad currently and will be graduating in May. I have met ********** and ************ prior to applying, but not Dr. ******.

I know in the past that applicants have interviewed with ******** or ******, so I was wondering who other people are interviewing with for this cohort. Let me know! Good luck interviewing everyone!

I applied to the AMPNN for summer 2011 and submitted everything by the deadline. Just curious, do they interview all the applicants? Or are the selective?

I was wondering the same thing 1.2.3 (on if thei interview everyone or are selective). I also applied to the AMPNN 2011 program, and recently got a call from ****** to schedule my 1st of 2 interviews in December. I am in CA, so they are having me do a phone interview - whew! What specialty did you apply to?
