I just got accepted into U of R's accelerated bachelors nursing program. Just wanted to start a thread to see who else is going there!

I applied in July, had my interview mid August and now the waiting period is getting the best of me! I really hope they decide soon! Good luck to everyone!

I heard that they sent out the first batch of acceptances,

not sure about rejections, right after labor day. haven't received anything

so far so keeping fingers crossed....

How did you hear that they sent out the first batch of acceptances already?

Has anyone else heard anything regarding acceptance/rejection for the Jan 2011 cohort? The anticipation didn't bother me until I read nycClara's post - now I am so on edge!!!

sorry Nicole, i was wondering if anyone had heard anything too. I called the last week of august to see what was going on w/my status as I have to decide on another school, and Roc is sort of my first choice. The admin counselor pretty much said the first batches of letters were sent out after labor day.

So nobody has heard? I'm down in NC, so I have no idea if there will be a delay in the mailing or if I just haven't received anything...

I live in Rochester. I haven't heard anything. I'll post either way to let everyone know if I see anything come through.

I called UR today and admissions said that they are sending out some letters this week. Hopefully this will alleviate some of the waiting game stress! Again, good luck to all!

Hello all! I called U of R today because I was starting to become anxious since there were other school deadlines quickly approaching, but I didn't really want to fill out the applications and pay the application fees if I was accepted into Rochester (1st choice). So I called them and explained and I was directed to the admissions counselor and she said that the letters were being revised and probably wouldn't be sent out until around Friday. But she pulled my file and told me that I was accepted!! :balloons:

This is really a huge relief and I was having a terrible week so today has really turned around. She mentioned that they were calling applicants or answering favorably if applicants happened to call. I hope that I haven't increased the anxiety levels for you, and I really wish the best of luck! If you don't receive a letter in the next couple of days, you'll know that it is probably because they haven't been sent yet. I really hope that I get to meet you all next year! :)

congrats mbmnc!! thanks for the update...it's kind of a good sign to know that they'll give you a yes or no (I guess that would be- I don't know) if we call now. I'm afraid i can't really call since i called late August...don't want to be too pesky :-/
