Hey everyone!
I recently applied to UOR ABPNN for May of '19. I had my interview on October 9th. I am waiting for a response from admissions but have not heard anything back yet. I read online from their FAQ ~12 weeks you will receive an admission. I have read previous posts and saw people were getting their decision in February and so fourth.
Has anyone else applied to this program and heard anything back yet?

I prepared for my interview by checking out various message boards and articles on nursing interview questions. There are way too many questions to possibly study but they gave me an idea of the types of questions I would hear. I also reheorificed my “story”/resume because I get distracted and ramble when nervous.
The actual interview went well. My interviewer was real personable and down to earth. We talked for about 40 minutes on the phone. I was asked 9 questions. All of the questions kind of built on each other. “Tell me about yourself, why nursing, why this college, why this program” etc. I asked some questions at the end.
Honestly, if you check the other message boards for prior apnn cohorts at Rochester you’ll find a lot of valuable information as far as what to expect.
Good luck
What questions did you ask at the end?

I also applied to University of Rochester for May '19. I am currently waiting to have my interview next Thursday, Jan 31st, at 3:00 PM. I wanted to ask you guys how you prepared for your interview, how did your interview go, and what questions should I expect to be asked on the interview. Any advice would help, thank you!
I interviewed with a faculty member. I can't really remember questions asked partly because it felt like more of a conversation about why i'm interested in becoming a nurse, we talked about my resume - and I felt like we chatted the entire time.
Just know why you want to be a nurse and know all of your professional experiences and be able to talk about both

So anxious, I want to know if I’m moving or not haha. I was in a program prior that was looking to drop the weakest 10 or so students after the first semester. They had transfers students and lpn to RN students waiting to fill those spots. It made for a toxic cohort. It took a few of us a while to realize that the 2nd semester courses didn’t have enough seats for our entire cohort.
