University of Rochester ABPNN MAY 2019

Published

Hey everyone!

I recently applied to UOR ABPNN for May of '19. I had my interview on October 9th. I am waiting for a response from admissions but have not heard anything back yet. I read online from their FAQ ~12 weeks you will receive an admission. I have read previous posts and saw people were getting their decision in February and so fourth.

Has anyone else applied to this program and heard anything back yet?

When you called did you ask to talk to Nancy? And did they mean the decision regarding your application or that they will have their decisions for the cohort finalized in the next two hours?

Will the calls be made in the next hour or so then?

i called and wasn't accepted.

best of luck to everyone

I called and was told Nancy would be in a meeting until around 4:00.

She was about to go into a meeting when I called. I’m sorry to hear you weren’t accepted @beckytay

They didn’t say. Just that decisions would be made “in the next two hours”

While we’re waiting for answers... what’s everyone’s bachelors in? And do you have experience in health care?

@RNnurse5 I actually work for the U of R right now. Bachelors in political science and international relations. I’m a NYS EMT and I work currently as a Tech in an outpatient setting

Bachelors in Biology with a minor in Chemistry, currently working as a CNA in long term care with 2.5 years of experience and 6 years in dietary for geriatrics. Was looking to stay in the field and maybe eventually go for my NP specializing in geriatrics.

You'd love Highland Hospital. They have one of the best geriatric care centers I've seen.

If I don’t get in I was considering applying for a job as a PCT at highland to help diversify my experience and hopefully make myself a better potential candidate for the next cohort.
