University of Rochester ABPNN MAY 2019
I am pretty nervous as I watch the clock tick. My overall GPA is a 3.00 and I have a Bachelors in Psychology. I am 26 years old and have been blessed to receive a lot of experience in the field. I started off as a Pharmacist Tech for 3 years during undergrad, and once I graduated I became a Case Manager for a Mental Health Facility (1 year), then was a Program manager for people suffering with Dementia (1.5 years), and now I am a Assistant Program Administrator for a Day Habilitation Program for developmentally delayed adults (2 years and counting) and on weekends I provide home visits to kids in the foster care system with disabilities to help improve their level of functioning. (3+ years since its part time.) My interview went really well, but it was back in Oct/Nov. Makes me nervous to hear that out of 387 applicants they are only choosing 65. But good luck to all of you!

And the next day, and the day after that! Because when I’m become a student at Rochester, everyone will know my name. By the way, I’m Kevin. ? & you better learn to speak your future to existence.

I don’t view me as a bother and neither should you. If your passionate about becoming a nurse and need to prepare yourself for the next steps of your future, don’t let another day go by! We all waited long enough and at the end of the day, they are getting paid to answer your phone call. So to answer your question, I will definitely be calling tomorrow

No I was told my application wasn’t reviewed yet and apparently they have to go through 387 applicants. Nancy told me to call tomorrow because they went through just about half and half I’ll do the rest tomorrow. I don’t want to wait until Friday ??♂️

University of Rochester ABPNN MAY 2019
Good Morning Everyone, My name is Kevin and I applied for a May start date as well. I just called to inquire about the status of my application and I was informed that those who are accepted will receive a phone call and then their admissions packet. Those who are on the wait list or have been denied will not receive a phone call, but will be informed by mail. She also informed me that we have to wait until the first week of March because they received a lot of applications, so the date was pushed back again. SMH! Good luck to all of you!

BA in Psych--->RN
0Hello everyone, I graduated in May 2014 from Mount Saint Vincent in NYC with a BA in psychology. I have had much experience working in the psych field from being a case manager in a mental health facility, to a program manager for dementia patients, to even working with foster children with disabilities. After receiving all of this experience I feel like it's time to truly chase after my passion which is to become an RN. I have been doing some research but I would appreciate some of your advice as to what direction I should go in to become an RN... I completed my prerequisites at MSV: My grades weren't the best, but my overall gpa was a 3.0 after graduating. Fall 2011 A&PI C+ Fall 2011 General Organic & BioChem I B- Spring 2012 A&PII B- Spring 2012 Gen, Organic & BioChem II C+ Fall 2012 Microbiology B- Psych classes I received B's and higher. Another issue is my prerequisites will exceed 5 years this year....do you have an schools you can recommend that accepts the prerequisites within 10 years? I would like to continue my education in NYC, but I am willing to travel. Any suggestions/recommendations?
