Afraid A&P is Going to Sink Me
is this your lab portion or your lecture portion? quizlet.com saved my life this semester all A's. i took ap1, microbio and nutrition. i get bored really easy with flashcards. i like to interact and quizlet is genius. You can test yourself on your own notes. Also if the lab portion is giving you trouble just google what ever topic your on and your many quizzes with come up. repetition is everything! good luck

Nutrition class: what to expect?
hi, I'm currently taking ap 1, microbiology, and nutrition. So far, nutrition seems to be the only challenging one. All A's in my science classes and a B in nutrition, blahhhh. Not sure if its because i started out my semester with it as my last priority. So it focuses on bmi, obesity, appropriate calorie intake, dietary guidelines, it does get sciencey lol umm macro, micro nutrients from carbs, fibers, vitamins to minerals and their deficiency or toxicity, a little anatomy and physiology my class did go into the digestive system and enzymes, also goes into the clinical aspect of things also nutrition from pregnancy, childhood, adult, and elderly, tube feedings, assessment. Overall, a very well informed class. I think every nurse should be required to take. Good luck!

BA in Psych working towards NP....Need Advice, Please help!
Do some research.. but as the responder above states, you have to first get a bachelors in nursing. You can either go the traditional route or try for accelerating nursing programs. You have most of the pre reqs programs require. However, your science grades are not strong, you may have a better chance on traditional programs.I believe you have to work as a nurse for at least a year and then you can apply to graduate programs to become a NP, GOOD LUCK ON YOUR JOURNEY!

Do i have a chance at nursing
Hello guys.... I really wanted to get opinions from others in similar situations or inside knowledge of criteria of many nursing programs. I graduated in 2011 with a B.S in business management from Brooklyn College with a mere gap of 2.4 I didn't excel in school because i thought i would be some entrepreneur business guru. i just wanted a degree to claim. And although i have meet many financial goals I'm still not pleased. I'm currently taking my pre reqs at a community college. Its so competitive I'm really worried about having a chance to get into a program. Im interested in accelerated programs stony brook, nyu, lehman, suny downstate, new rochelle, and I'm willing to go the regular b.s route as well with any school that will take me. Previous gpa from degree 2.4 Science pre reqs 3.86 Experience Ive been working with doctors since 14 (dentist, chiropractor, dermatologist, ob/gyn ,primary care facility which house physchologist, cardiologist, soon tech, labs, podiatrist, as well as pain management doctors) I have a large range of knowledge from each field by dictating for physicians, assisting, and much more Think i have a chance?
