  1. This is going to make me sound stupid but what is a test bank?
  2. You can see if your school offers credit by exam so that you do not have to take as many french classes. Then you can still explore spanish.
  3. Yep but also with children. No flame throwers but children I think are often incredibly expensive to treat. NICU anyone.... that is really where my mind imediately went. They do not have living wills as minors. It applies to everyone though, young and old. I think viability is a very good marker. We look at viability in organ donation. That would reign in health care as a part of GDP in a heartbeat.
  4. Using more equitable and financially justifiably means to determine who deserves treatment/the extent of it. Ex...is it worth 15 million dollars to prolong a terminal life for a matter of a few months? Although I think this is likely like MSRP.... because insurance companies don't pay that... but it would be the value if someone without adequate insurance wanted the same treatment then they would get a big DECLINED from the hospital.
  5. HAve you looked to see what your schools rules are about professors changing grading scales mid way?
  6. You have to remember the school is going to go by what the school says not what you say. And it still sounds like a lack of ownership phrasing it like that. Nodding off and falling asleep are in the same boat. What if you stop taking medication again? Will your behaviors return? Even if you think there is a slightly different interpretation it doesn't change what the paperwork says.
  7. You know yourself best. I think you have to be honest with yourself as to how this normally goes for you first and foremost and then decide how that factors in to your ability to be a student. You may want to do humanitarian work but if you fail classes because you are spiraling and you stayed you won't be doing humanitarian work anyway and will be worse off then taking a year.
  8. Ya... I'm to embarrassed to post my stats they are likely lower than almost everyone's so I try to stay out of those discussions or I get pissy looking at the people with high gpas who are all like I have a 4.0 will I get in?! Omg. Ok soap box over. I wish you luck! I haven't taken my HESI yet. I wish you luck!
  9. What was your question?
  10. Oh the irony. Apparently it was the chem I really should have been afraid of not A and P. That test was really hard.
  11. Yes! It is my top choice BSN! I'm really nervous about it. Well the fastbacc is. Are you applying to the fastbacc?
  12. Personally I felt like I learned a lot about myself. May not be useful for work and what not but hey.
  13. I think this is so important. GPA does not show knowledge or ability to apply critical knowledge and yet it is a standard we use to prove worth. There should be greater emphasis on skill and application and I think we lose that when we put such heavy emphasis on GPA, especially when GPAs are distributed so unequally.
  14. I'm not in a nursing program but I thought 94, 90 for an A- was normal? I feel like that is pretty standard so that scale is tough but not far off. Maybe where you went to school before was the exception?
  15. Why do you want to be accountable for someone else? Maybe it is a word choice but to me it seems strange and there are many ways to be accountable for someone else. You could baby sit. I would definitely look at Grammer and syntax. Your diction in general also could use a second glance. Partook is technically a word but it sounds strange in my opinion. I would also just read through sentence by sentence and think how does this arrangement sound? You are a fluffy writer (wordy), I am to. Maybe try to be a little more succinct? That is one of the reasons I asked for length requirements. Do they want this to read sensationally? Or a little more...direct? You also bounce between tenses. First person and second person. Do you know what kind of nurse you want to be? There is a difference between what an ER nurse would do and a nurse in a clinic or acute care would do. I am seeing all kinds of nursing in this? If you have an idea it would make it sound like you have done more homework and have a better understanding of what you want for your career. Does this program produce certain types of nurses? That would be something to consider. I'll stop for now. It's a start. You have something to talk about, that is good. Just have to refine it. Goodluck!
