University of Rochester ABPNN MAY 2019

Published

Hey everyone!

I recently applied to UOR ABPNN for May of '19. I had my interview on October 9th. I am waiting for a response from admissions but have not heard anything back yet. I read online from their FAQ ~12 weeks you will receive an admission. I have read previous posts and saw people were getting their decision in February and so fourth.

Has anyone else applied to this program and heard anything back yet?

I don’t view me as a bother and neither should you. If your passionate about becoming a nurse and need to prepare yourself for the next steps of your future, don’t let another day go by! We all waited long enough and at the end of the day, they are getting paid to answer your phone call. So to answer your question, I will definitely be calling tomorrow

And the next day, and the day after that! Because when I’m become a student at Rochester, everyone will know my name. By the way, I’m Kevin. ? & you better learn to speak your future to existence.

How many students do they accept each cycle? 60?

If I recall correctly from my interview I believe I was told between 60-65 applicants per cohort but has varied for each.

I called Nancy and she told me that I’m waitlisted. They still need to work on the waitlisted group and if I want a definite answer, to call back tomorrow. I think if she’s telling you to call back tomorrow, it’s a good sign!

I’m wondering how many people are on the waitlist and how likely it is for them to be accepted. Anyway, good luck everyone!

Hi there!

I spoke with Nancy today, and she told me that I had been admitted to the program! Can't wait to get started.

I am on the look-out for an apartment, as well as someone to carpool with (I don't have a car, and would gladly pay for gas!).

Good luck, everyone!

@ericks92 did you call them yourself, or did they call you to tell you?

I called them after seeing the previous post that decisions had been made.

When we call the 585-275-2375 number that’s just the nursing office correct? We still have to ask to speak to Nancy once someone answers the phone or is that her direct number? I think I called yesterday and spoke with the receptionist who wasn’t able to give me much information.

Yes that’s the school of nursing office you’ll get the receptionist then have to speak to Nancy about your application

So I just called and they said that they'd have the decision within the next 2 hours.

Does anyone know anything else? Is this a good sign? Im so nervous!
