University of Rochester ABPNN MAY 2019

Published

Hey everyone!

I recently applied to UOR ABPNN for May of '19. I had my interview on October 9th. I am waiting for a response from admissions but have not heard anything back yet. I read online from their FAQ ~12 weeks you will receive an admission. I have read previous posts and saw people were getting their decision in February and so fourth.

Has anyone else applied to this program and heard anything back yet?

God this is annoying.

Thanks for the update guys!

Has anyone heard back ??

Hey guys just called and disappointing news. They said no acceptance package have been sent out yet but we will hear at the end of next week

Had a feeling that would happen ^

This is a month later than projected. I wonder what happened?

Anyone else call? Any word yet?

Follow up, anyone choosing not to go here anymore?

I called on Friday. She said she’s hoping by next week (which would be this week) we’d get a call then a letter if accepted. If waitlisted or rejected just a letter. But yea this has given me a bad taste about the program since it starts pretty soon and if I’d have to move. esp since their deadlines and my interview were all the way back in Oct/Nov.

I feel the EXACT same way. This is extremely frustrating for me and I live in the area. I can't even imagine if I had to relocate here.

I would’ve been okay with a no around the first projected date. I only applied to two places. I feel for people who applied to multiple programs and lost seats for a maybe. This will remain an issue as long as the program is still receiving large amounts of applicants and reapplicants with little backlash for prior missed acceptance deadlines. But I’ll admit, sometimes I forget there are people on the other end of the process. Some situation, like loss of a key team member, can chaos in a hectic process.

Trying to remain positive so frustration doesn’t spill into other aspects of life.

Just letting you all know what happened to me...I applied for January cohort and they waitlisted me and I didn’t get a letter for ~2 weeks after the projected decision. Then I didn’t get a real decision until 4 days before the January start date of them offering me a spot and I had to make a decision by that night. I had to deny due to not having enough time to find scholarships. Honestly if I didn’t get accepted I don’t think they would’ve ever given me a decision call/letter of a denial
