Nursing Students School Programs

Hello everyone! I did not see a thread for this start date, so I decided to start one!

I recently applied and have my interview Wednesday November 11th. I'm pretty excited and can't wait for the interview!

How is everyone else doing with the application process?

I applied for this cohort as well. I was anxiously hoping we would find out beginning of February. The suspense is killing me!

I believe we'll be finding out throughout the month of February. I am anxiously awaiting a decision as well. I received a phone call from a 585 number yesterday and answered with butterflies in my stomach, turns out it was my dentist. Good Luck to everyone who applied!

Did anyone else not send in a CPR certificate? I have to get re-certified so I figured I would do it once I got accepted (hopefully!) and send it in before classes started. But now that it's getting so close to the deadline I'm worried this may affect my admissions decision?

I just received the call that I have been accepted into the accelerated Bachelors program! I applied for the masters program but I know I have a chance to continue upon completion of the first year. Does anyone know how that process works, if I'd have to submit an application another round for the two year master portion?

Congrats! What specialty did you apply to? crossing fingers I get to hear good news.

Thank you so much! I applied for the Pediatric Specialty but since I was accepted for the Bachelors program, I will be in the generalist, 1st year only program with no specialty.

I also got a call today about acceptance! But it is only for the one year bachelors as well, which makes me a bit hesitant about accepting.

I received a call today about my acceptance to the one year program as well. I really wanted to be accepted into the direct entry masters program but unfortunately that did not happen. I wonder if there is a greater chance to get into the Masters program if one does well in the accelerated one year program? Or does it even matter if you attended their one year BSN program?

Yea that's also my issue. I asked Nancy about this and she didn't really answer my question. She said most students 99.9% of ABPNN take a year or two off after acquiring the license to gain experience and they reapply. I remember during my interview I asked about this and I think she did say alumni have a higher chance of getting into the Master's portion. Would anyone happen to know the cost of this program?

I didn't get a call today so I assume I didn't get in :/ Congratulations everyone!

Not true, I would follow up with them. I'm sure they are still making calls etc.!

Is Rochester the top choice for you guys? I really want to attend the program but just the fact that its for a Bachelor's is holding me back T.T
