Hello!
I've been looking at allnurses to see if anyone had started a thread for the U of R January 2016 ABPNN program yet but I have not seen one. I figured I'd go ahead and begin. While they are still accepting applications until July 1st, I got everything in early and just had my interview this morning. I think it went well but I won't really know until they make their decision (the faculty member said I probably won't hear anything until mid-September). Anyone else applying for this cohort?
My experience: Our cohort ended up being 65, I think.
And they'll call you if you're accepted to see if you're still interested. If you are, they'll send your acceptance letter along with a bunch of forms you have to fill out and send back. They sent the letter a week after the phone call. They'll also want a deposit right away.
The worst part is the waiting game!
I was wondering why so late, too. I also feel like we are getting a lot less information when we call than the previous cohorts. If you look back, the people who called were usually told "we'll be making a decision (insert time frame here) and start calling (insert time frame here)". She just said mid-October and that was the end. I'm definitely getting a bit frustrated with the way they keep pushing back the decision date. Waiting this long and being this anxious just to get rejected would be cruel. Oh well. I'll just have to control myself until they finally decide.
Hey all!! I just want to say that i have been in the exact same spot as you guys not too long ago. The wait is daunting and nerve wracking, but remember to be patient. If you are accepted you will get a call followed by an acceptance in the mail if you choose to attend the program. The times they told you they would let you all know if you were accepted can and do change because this is such a great program that there are many applicants. Just stay positive and know that once they make a decision they will call. I graduated from the May 2014 class, so once you all know feel free to ask any questions you may have about the program or Rochester!
Hi, I have had a few people asking whether I had a response to my email. NK replied straight away, very friendly but said mid October. She also said they will call all applicants then send the offical documents. Told her the suspense was killing me. I would have to apply for a study visa and find somewhere to stay - rather difficult when you are in London. I was thinking perhaps we should rent a really nice house and share the rent. Well - mid-October is only another week and a half, I guess. I have to confess, I had a panic that I wasn't going to get in so also applied at the very last minute for the summer course at U of Virginia Masters CNL course... Good luck to all - and do post if your phone rings.!

I called on Monday and she told me the same. Does anyone have any idea of how many students they are admitting for this cohort?
