University of Pittsburgh CRNA Spring 2023

Sorta surprised that there is no post for this current application for Pitt, especially since the application deadline is a month away. Decided to make this thread for people looking to discuss the application process. 

Anyone applying to Pitt? I made a last minute decision to apply just a few days ago, so I'm trying to get all of my things in order to submit on time, haha.

Just as an update, they are doing another set of interviews later this month so the waiting will continue ?

Oh wow! They seem to be interviewing more people this year. I remember he said on 5/26 they would have 1 more round on either 6/9 or 6/23. But maybe they needed to have 2 more dates.

Yep! He said “due to the volume of qualified applicants they got for the May deadline, they’re holding one more interview session”. 6/9 was supposed to be the last one. 

I imagine maybe they didn’t get a ton for the priority deadline? Haha

So end of June, early July to find out. No factor. It’ll be that much more sweet when we get in.

Congrats! I bet that’s an amazing feeling for you. They must’ve had so many good applicants that they needed an extra round of interviews. ? I read somewhere that they interview 80 & accept 40, but I don’t know how accurate that is haha. 

I do know they use a proprietary point system to rank applicants with the interview being the final piece and it has a numerical point value depending on performance.

It seems like it’s going to be 100 this year. Pitt is highly ranked year in and year out. I’m humbled to have interviewed, and look forward to their decision.
