University of Pittsburgh CRNA Spring 2023

Sorta surprised that there is no post for this current application for Pitt, especially since the application deadline is a month away. Decided to make this thread for people looking to discuss the application process. 

Anyone applying to Pitt? I made a last minute decision to apply just a few days ago, so I'm trying to get all of my things in order to submit on time, haha. 

I applied by the May deadline , how long does it take to hear back for an interview if offered? Do they reach out by email?

There was a interview date today, and they said they would do one more in mid June. You may hear back for that one!

Hey all!  I have a question for you about the Statistics prereq.  Does it have to be a graduate level statistics course, or can it be an undergraduate one?  I found two different things online.

I believe it can be an undergrad one. As nursingcas states this

"Pre-requisite statistics course with a grade B or better"

This is my understanding. (I could be incorrect though)

It does not need to be a graduate stats course. Undergrad is fine.

Has anyone heard anything from the 4/21 interview?

I interviewed on 5/26 and they made it sound like they were going to wait until the next round of interview on 6/9 before they made any decline. But I am assuming you submitted prior to the the priority deadline?

I also interviewed on 4/21 and haven’t heard anything! I just called the department of anesthesia and they said they don’t have an updated timeline. The only thing she was able to say was that they haven’t sent out any new info and to just keep waiting to hear.

I reached out and got an email response a couple weeks ago that they weren’t making any more decisions until after the next interview. Maybe they got delayed this year because of all the graduations? I know other schools had ceremonies for everyone from 2020-2022. I’ll just plan on hearing something end of June haha

I do know the final interview is happening on 6/9 and responses should go out shortly after that. Perhaps the interviews that happened on 4/21 are being considered along with the ones that happened 5/26 and 6/9?

The last set of interviews are definitely 6/9? Waiting is the worst part of the process, and I can’t imagine how our 4/21 group is feeling.

As a member of the 4/21ers I will say, I’ve been through all 5 stages of grief multiple times
