  1. Looking for advice for the best type of hospital setting for a first CRNA job. Options: Should I be set on finding a large trauma/teaching hospital with high acuity (but are also care team model with supervision or direction) to get more experience and comfortable as a newer provider.. OR would a smaller hospital (200 ish beds) with more autonomy but obviously lower acuity and less variety of cases be adequate? I've read mixed reviewed on this. Background: I'm looking to move back to my home state after school so I won't be familiar with any of the dynamics at any of the potential jobs sites. I trained at a good program but the state is heavily supervised so I did not really get CRNA only clinical sites. I just want to be comfortable enough and safe if going the more independent route. I appreciate any tips!
  2. Does anyone know if the ‘provisional’ people HAVE to take any credits (or 12?) in the fall? I’m more than grateful to have been accepted, but I also was not prepared or anticipating taking classes before the classes. I guess I should also reach out for further clarification tomorrow.
  3. There was April, may and June interviews. I think 1 each month
  4. Haha April for me too. The wait has been gruesome to say the least. You almost forget about it after this long but also… think about it daily
  5. Yep! They said up to 2 more weeks. Hang in there, guys!
  6. What a trying time this has been :’( LOL. But really. I wish everyone could get in, we all deserve it ? but good luck to everyone !!
  7. Not sure if anyone has, but I have not— it’s so painful LOL
  8. Congrats to everyone that has gotten in so far! does anything have any insight on why they have 2 separate admissions deadlines and how they affect acceptances into the program?
  9. i don't want to sound ungrateful for the opportunity to be accepted into the program at all.. i am extremely happy about it. but does anyone know if its possible to switch from summer to fall session??
  10. How do we go about signing up for classes? My registration date is for sometime after summer session starts so I'm not really sure how we go about it. Or does the nursing dept enroll us allautomatically in what we need?
  11. I haven't. Have you?
  12. so for summer term what is the official FIRST day of class? and someone from here told me that the clinical day was the same (Thursday) for everyone the first semester... therefore, we have friday/sat/sun off. is this true from what other people have gathered? also does anyone have any recommendations for cities/areas to live in, either in or outside of Northridge that are safe, have things to do, and not a ton of traffic to get to and from? I'm not from socal so any input would be greatly appreciated :)
  13. for anyone that got their summer acceptance pretty late (in the last few days), do you know how long we have to complete the background/drug screen/ vaccines/ everything else? I've seen the Apr. 30 deadline thrown around but im not sure if that is the cutoff? Because that only gave us about 4 days to complete everything and that is really hard for people that have normal working hours lol. Does anyone have any additional info? I tried to call and email the nursing dept… but no answer or email back.
  14. Not sure how to PM on here but here's my email address if you can send me the ppt from orientation id greatlyyy appreciate it!!! [email protected] thanks!!
