I need to take A&P before the fall and since I have a crazy summer schedule and two young kids at home I am considering taking A&P through the University of Phoenix. I know it is super expensive, but I am wondering if there is anyone out there that has taken it from them that can tell me about their experience. Was it difficult? Is it reasonable to get an A.
Also, is there another school online that you would recommend instead? I just need to be able to get both A&P I and II done by October.
Any advise would be AWESOME!

Why don't you just take a blended course at your community college? I really don't know how they are going to do the labs online. Its not much of a lab if you compared to Chemistry or Microbiology but, you still want to be there with an instructor to learn exactly what part of the body he or she is talking about and to get some hands on learning experience. Well, I wish you luck and an A for your Class!

I would stay away from UOP. I took some classes from them and they were not that good. I wish that I would have done more online research first before going with them.

Have you looked in Rio salado? much less money. I took both of those online....a bit harder than in person but doable.
Rio Salado is a maricopa community college.

Edu Kan has been recommended here many times. They are all the community colleges in Kansas and you can take many classes online with them. They have anatomy/physiology and would be much less expensive.

There are many other options besides UoP so just do some research. Good luck :)
Tuition for all EduKan courses is a set rate of $125/credit hour regardless of Kansas residency status

call Community Colleges around you, I know Valencia (central Fl) has an accelerated AP1 & 2 course that is taken over the summer, you get both classes out of the way and it is so much cheaper, if you cannot find a program that has that setup, ask if you are allowed to sign up for both classes. my school lets you do that. BTW, I have my previous degree from UOP.

Try Amarillo Community College, or Ocean College in NJ. Both are online and cost 5-600, as opposed to U of P prices. Hope you can get in and done on time.

Make sure your school will accept any class you take. Mine won't accept and A & P without lab from anywhere.

Check with your local college or university. Here in Indy, we have a college that breaks their summer sessions up into two parts. Check that out b/c you'd be able to have all science done before the summer ends.
