University of Oklahoma-Accelerated BSN Program

Nursing Students Online Learning

Published

Hi All,

I'm new to this site and to the field of nursing. Has anyone gone to this school and if so, what did you think?

I live in San Diego, CA, and there is an online program that this school offers. I'm 3 prerequisites away from applying to the school, with a start date of August 08. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you've had chicken pox you won't need the varicella vaccine, just a titer to see if you are immune.

CVS minute clinics. :) Not sure if they'll still have the varicella, since its out of season, but if they have extra and its not expired, I'm sure they'll provide it.

I got to them and I do have insurance, its just so much faster/easier to get a TB test there and usually its an NP giving you the treatments and they talk your ear off about how great it is to be in school to become a nurse, really encouraging. At least its happened to me and a few friends who have gone there.

Here's a pricelist and link:

hi I'm a fellow filipina. I want to take ABSN at OU too! I live in woodland hills. I'm LVN. private msg me or add me at facebook. oops i cant put my name here nor my email address. where did u complete your pre reqs? I'm thinking of going to west coast univ but very expensive, and only associate.

thank you A...but I guess I need to go to a doctor who needs to order a blood test and because I dont have insurance I think in the end it will be just as expensive. However, I dont see the point in getting 2 unnecessary shots (varicella) so I might just get the blood test. Thank you again for everything :)

I sent you a PM and you could not accept it because your mailbox is full :)

Does anyone know if the CPR class offered at the end of open house is strictly for first time certification? I actually need to get re-certified since mine expired a couple of months ago and I'm just curious if they offer a shorter re-certification class anywhere. I'll probably just end up in the class at the end of open house anyway :)

Hi everyone,

I am just wondering besides those alternates that got email last Saturday, if any alternate for SD or Glendale receive an email for this week yet?

Thanks.

Hi Anybody know of any nursing student loans that we can avail? I found some online but I found there is no difference (in interest rate and benefits) from regular student loans.

a gentle reminder to refrain from posting any names (including instructors!), email addresses, fax numbers, etc.

posting any of these is a violation of this site's terms of service.

thank you.

OU BSN program is a fully accredited program, but what does fully accredited mean?

Also on the BRN, it shows that OU is in partnership with Southwestern College and SDSU. What does this exactly mean?

I am concerned that if I go to OU, and apply for my master's that some colleges will not accept my degree from OU because it is not accredited by WASC or another type of accreditation.

I emailed someone from USD who said if the school is based in the West, they require your BSN from a WASC and CCNE accredited school. She didn't know if OU had either.

hi karree2000, i only received the email for 21st last Saturday, I also asked them on the phone if we were going to have a separate meeting, and they said no!
