University of Oklahoma-Accelerated BSN Program

Nursing Students Online Learning

Published

Hi All,

I'm new to this site and to the field of nursing. Has anyone gone to this school and if so, what did you think?

I live in San Diego, CA, and there is an online program that this school offers. I'm 3 prerequisites away from applying to the school, with a start date of August 08. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

What are we going to do during the health assesment class? (sorry for the silly question:)

You'll actually physically be practicing/learning how to do physical assessments - head to toe. The professors for this particular lab/class are very sweet and helpful.

i'm an alternate for SD.. but never received an e-mail about the open house :-(

not so hopeful anymore... any other alternates not get an e-mail?

Congrats to all who are excepted.. you will have an awesome time in school & future in nursing.. wish i could join you :-) best of luck!

Hi there,

I'm an alternate for SD and didn't get an email either. I was told we'll get an email soon tomorrow (i think). There will also be a meeting for us. Hope that help. =)

Anybody knows if we are supposed to call/ email for open house registration or only those who need the cpr class are supposed to register?

I think you have to register regardless....CPR registration is separate

A CPR class will be offered for those needing to satisfy this requirement. The class will be offered from 6-9pm after open house. Please reserve your space and receive cost information when you register for open house.

Space, as well as parking, is limited, please do not bring guests with you to this event.

Hi Laura,

I received my acceptance letter on Saturday and am super excited! Are you planning on attending the open house and CPR certification class next Tues (21st)? If so, it would be great to meet!

Hi Kaitlyn (I assume this is your name :) )

yes, I will be there....would you like to meet before the orientation starts?

Let me know

CVS minute clinics. :) Not sure if they'll still have the varicella, since its out of season, but if they have extra and its not expired, I'm sure they'll provide it.

I got to them and I do have insurance, its just so much faster/easier to get a TB test there and usually its an NP giving you the treatments and they talk your ear off about how great it is to be in school to become a nurse, really encouraging. At least its happened to me and a few friends who have gone there.

Here's a pricelist and link:
