Hi All,
I'm new to this site and to the field of nursing. Has anyone gone to this school and if so, what did you think?
I live in San Diego, CA, and there is an online program that this school offers. I'm 3 prerequisites away from applying to the school, with a start date of August 08. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I saw on another thread that Sharp Cabrillo is closing. I looked it up and on their website under the news an article says it is closing in April '09. Does anyone who is in the program know if this is going to change anything with the office/lab etc? I'm sure they'll let us know at orientation but I'm just curious! Thanks!
The email sent out to the SD students said that the facility is closing in the Spring, no specific month or date yet. So if they do know when/where we'll be going, they have no yet shared the information.
They reassured us that there would be no interruption in our program.
I have not posted on here in awhile, but I'm so excited to start in January! I'm also really really nervous!! Thank you to all of you who are posting study tips and other info. It is much appreciated! I also was informed that our orientation would be the 7th and 8th. So much to do before then!

What exactly do we need to have done by orientation? I will still have a few vaccinations outstanding at that point...... Just checking!
Quick question: Has anyone received their financial aid package recently? I called Financial Aid in OK over a week ago. They said my award package was in the mail. Needless to say, I haven't seen it and am very nervous. Any else waiting for financial aid still?
Same thing here. I think I'll call them tomorrow. Glad I'm not the only one!
Congratulations to everyone!!! I just finished my second semester. The program can be intense, but totally doable. I have worked 20 hours/week in addition to school- I'm busy, but its good. Overall, this semester was great. I started in summer which was super fast pace- I was stressed the entire time. I didn't feel any stress this time around. Maybe I've adjusted to the schedule too.
Once you get your financial aid packet, its really easy to set up. The financial aid office was really helpful in guiding me through the process.
Anyway, I'm so excited for you guys! It goes by so fast. I can't believe I'm half way done!
Happy Holidays!
Maybe the mail is just taking a while because of the holidays.... I don't think I can post e-mail addresses on here but if one of you want I can PM you the contact info of the financial aid lady that I have been speaking with. She is super helpful and quick to respond!

I haven't gotten mine yet either and am also starting to panic. How are we supposed to push loans through in such a short amount of time??
I have a couple of questions about the background and drug testing. 1 page tells you to go to quest diagnostics and then another page tells you to go to clinicalbgscreening. Which one do we suppose to register at? Also, when I was trying to make an appt on-line through quest diagnostics. The website ask you to check the test that you need. Which one are we suppose to check. I just want to make sure I do this right. Thanks.
I believe it is the clinigalbgscreening one. I started to fill it out but got confused when it was asking about my previous addresses but wouldn't give me a place to put the street address, so I put it off. What were the options for the tests? Our form doesn't specify anything other than it is a urine analysis.... is that an option?

I just took the form - as is, to the location on convoy ct. there is no extra fee, and all they do is urine tests. i was out of there in about 15 minutes.

My professor who also teachs at the SD campus said that they have to find a new building because they jacked up the rent astronomically on the school and they can't afford it (or something). so they will be moving to a different site.
