Hi Dayo, I am interested to learn more about this as i have just been informed by the US board of nursing that I am short of some hours in mental health, peads, and Obs. and need to make them up some how. how long are the courses or can you just specify the number of hours you need to make up?
thanks :)

Each state varies but I know when I did my conversion course I had 150 hours both theory and clinical (each in mental health and Obs) and this was accepted by 2 states. You may want to ask the state what is acceptable for them
Hello Abiola:
Silverdragon is right. l did 70 hours for each module. Some people say 60 is okay but it is safer to have more than less.
good luck
Hi Dayo, do you me mind me asking you how long it took for your transcripts to be re-verified by the CGFNS as I have been told by the BON that I must get them evaluated again which was an absolute nightmare first time around Also, sorry if this seems a silly question, but can you combine the obs and peads on the clinical placement or are they two separate places. Also do you mind me asking where you did the placements as I have been warned by the uni that I may struggle to get a trust to take me on :uhoh21:.
Any advice much appreciated :)
The paeds and obs need to be separate
