i just received my evaluation and they have said that i have no hours for microbiology. surely this can not be right?? help....this has been dragging on with the IERF for 18 months!

ok, so i applied to the IERF in Jan 2011.....eventually after much chasing around by ME(!) i got my results through 18 months later. one area it said I had failed on was microbiology......is this not included in basic nursing care such as handwashing and tissue viability or do i need to go to uni again to be a microbiologist? Also IERF lost my IELTS exam paper and then claimed never to have received it.......cowboys looking for quick $$$$ if you ask me. She said to resend would cost me $200, plus they failed to notify me that vermont is no longer taking applicants without a SSN from May 2012. I found this out by accident in Sept.......what do I do????

hi ghillbert, we are a british couple, both rn's for 4 years, currently in oz on 457 visa. I have compl,eted hours in all required fields to enable me to sit NCLEX. just about to apply for CES and then vermont BON. Have a job offer in AZ for when I eventually pass NCLEX. am i going in the right direction/process with this and how long should this take??? Will I be on an E3 visa???? will my husband be able to work??

thanks for your reply but what is the CES? Also I have received a card through to obtain fingerprints but this if stamped to be returned to california. Does this make a difference or does the fingerprint card need to be obtained from AZ too? Also, PearsonVue do not mention that I need anything from any nursing board to be presented on arrival in London to sit NCLEX exam so I was under the impression that I just applied to them and turned up with photo i.d. to sit exam. thanks

hi Silverdragon, Looking for advice. i am a uk staff nurse and recently passed the course to make up hours(paed,mat etc) through brighton uni in the hopes of moving to usa once retro has been lifted. hoping to sit nclex at Pearson centre, london, june/july time. in the meantime can i apply for nurse licence for usa or do i need to wait until i have my nclex? also i want to go to arizona so what state should i apply to for the licence. thanks, jojo

As I have mentioned in a previous post Brighton Uni are cancelling their course and if you wanted to do it, it is only available through an agency such as OGP who have put all visa's to usa on hold! hope this helps. I have heard that London city uni is doing the course, again this is only available through ogp. Jo

Hi, just to let everyone know....Brighton Uni will be stopping the 'making up hours' course in the next semester. They have found it not to be as popular/financially beneficial as they first thought. Maybe if they promoted the course a bit better instead of doing it through OGP only it may have been more beneficial to them and the prospective student, especially since OGP have put all applications to the USA on hold!!!.Hope this helps, Jo

hi dayo, I am just about finished course at Brighton Uni but as I live in Scotland i have no contact with the uni itself and doing it all distance learning. My 2nd attempt at course work has to be handed in on 22nd may and I have found uni to be less than helpful!!! do you or anyone else know what will happen if I fail the course through the academic side of things? I have completed all the practical hours and this has all been verified by the uni, will this be recognised on my transcripts? look forward to hearing from you, Joanne

gymratt33, also have ghost in my house. like to think it my grandpa paying a visit. have wine glasses that were v.expensive and i am very particular about them. my dh brought me some wine into bed and i put the glass on my bedside table, next morning the glass was on my dresser way over the other side of the room. most recent- just the other day i was v upset...stressed at work, rubbish pay, events to organise etc and dh had went to care for his father who has pd, anyway having a wee cry to myself when my fairy lights that were turned off came on

sorry for such a late reply to this message but just had to say that you are completely right about the show most haunted not being as credible. my dh and i put it on to cheer us up as it enevitably provides us lots of laughs.....whenever he gets possessed the spirits seem to have a scouse[liverpudlian] accentand his co-star always looks like she is going to burst out laughing. just thought i would share. also we get a show shown here in the uk starring an american guy as the psychic and a girl called gail porter. do you guys get it? no sure what its called but it sure scares the c**p out of me x
