Hi After finding out that international nurses can no longer be issued with a license without a SSN I am looking to find out if you can transfer an ATT to a different state board that does allow licenses to be issued without a SSN. I had applied to California but now know that without a SSN (I am a UK nurse) I will never be issued a license even if I pass the NCLEX. I have done some research and seen that Colorado are using a SSN affidavit form for applicants without a SSN. Does anyone know if I can transfer my original application for ATT from California to Colorado? I have been issued my ATT and it is valid until October 2010. Or do you just have to reapply to a new board and go through the whole process & cost again. I'd be grateful for any advice Thanks
Thanks for your reply. I'm real nervous about sitting the exam, I've applied to the nursing board and am waiting for my ATT and have also started studying for the exam by reading books and doing practice questions from cd rom's. Sometimes I feel like i don't know anything though when I keep getting questions wrong!!
Hello I am studying for the NCLEX but finding it hard going! I've sent off my application for licensure to the board of nursing and am now waiting to hear back from them, so I thought I'd start studying straight away. I was hoping to find other nurses in the Edinburgh area trying to study/sit the NCLEX and get together and study...strength in numbers so to speak! If any one out there is interested let me know :wink2:
