University of Michigan (UofM) Accelerated program

Hi everyone!!! I am new to allnurses.com - I was wondering if anyone has applied for the Fall 2009 accelerated program? I have not been able to attend an information session due to scheduling conflicts. Does anyone know how many people apply to the program or know any "insider" info? I know that 50 people get in every year - I just submited my application last week for the early response deadline - good luck to all!!

Are we in the same program?! I thought the first ten weeks of lecture were awful... :)

Froyo - yup. I didn't think the first 10 weeks were so bad.... not really digging OB right now, though.

I applied too. I did get an e-mail Monday about the supplement form. The online version this year doesn't have a good space to enter the pre-req courses in, so they are e-mailing out an excel form to the people who apply. Hopefully that means they are starting to look at applications. Did you get that e-mail??

Yes, I got that email not too long after I submitted my application. Also, I spoke to ---- yesterday and she said they will start releasing some decisions after the first of the year :( I just hate waiting and wanted to see if anyone else had heard anything. Did you apply anywhere else?

Yeah the waiting sucks. I applied last year close to the deadline and I didn't find out until mid April that I was wait-listed. Hopefully I wont have to wait that long this year. I also applied to MSU. I'm going to start looking at out of state schools after the holidays. Did you apply to any other schools?

Hopefully we will hear something soon. I applied to U of D Mercy's program also. They are holding my application until I complete A&P. I'm not sure why I was told to go ahead and apply, I would still be considered even with 3 outstanding pre-reqs, then they say no. :confused:

nope not yet. i called them last week and they said that the full review of applications is not yet completed. ugh.

ugh! I'm so nervous!! You were waitlisted last year too right? I hope that increases our chances of getting in this year!
