University of Michigan (UofM) Accelerated program

Published

Hi everyone!!! I am new to allnurses.com - I was wondering if anyone has applied for the Fall 2009 accelerated program? I have not been able to attend an information session due to scheduling conflicts. Does anyone know how many people apply to the program or know any "insider" info? I know that 50 people get in every year - I just submited my application last week for the early response deadline - good luck to all!!

Hey Living4Peace-

How did they notify you when you were removed from the waitlist? Why do you think you were pulled up? Did you finish a course with a good grade, or were they waiting for a transcript or was it completely a surprise? I guess I was just wondering what their reasoning for pulling people up could be. I am staying positive and hoping I get pulled up as well. I am taking 2 courses this summer they asked me to take (because my others did not transfer).

I don't know why I was pulled off the waitlist to be quite honest. They notified me by email saying that I was admitted.

Is anyone else waiting to get any response. I applied Feb.1 and the undergrad. admission office made mistake after mistake with my file delaying the completion of the file for months. I've been told by ----- in the Nursing school that they are still working on the admissions but I cannot get any information about my application. It is so frustrating.

nnarod, I know there are a few people in my Pharm class at WCC still waiting to hear back from UofM.

I can see from the class registration page in the Nursing School that there are still 20 seats in lecture and 20 clinical spots open, and that there were only about 50 people at orientation, so obviously there are still slots open (at least it seems that way to me)

Stay hopeful!

Hi Dave,

I was finally told I would have a decision by this Friday. With all of the errors that delayed my application I am sure that my chances of getting in are greatly reduced even though the staff insists otherwise. Do you know what I will be seeing on the access site when the decision is made? Will it say "accepted, waitlisted, or decision in the mail?"

Thanks of your help.

you will see something like "accepted" with a link to accept the admission offer, unless you are an alum of the university, then they automatically accept the offer for you (that seemed strange, but oh well, I would have anyways LOL)

nnarod, how did you hear that you would hear back by friday? was that something specific for you or for everyone?

Did anyone hear today (Friday)? I applied to U-M in October and was waitlisted in December. I frantically check my waitlisted status on Wolverine Access far too often.

Just wanted to let everyone know that they are still indeed pulling people off the waitlist. I found out last week I have been accepted. So, don't lose out hope if you are still waiting!

Congrats Spartan! (or should we now call you Wolverine?)

Dave, thanks! Looking forward to starting and meeting everyone!

CONGRATS spartan03. I can't wait to see you in the Fall!! Only one month left
