University of Michigan (UofM) Accelerated program

Published

Hi everyone!!! I am new to allnurses.com - I was wondering if anyone has applied for the Fall 2009 accelerated program? I have not been able to attend an information session due to scheduling conflicts. Does anyone know how many people apply to the program or know any "insider" info? I know that 50 people get in every year - I just submited my application last week for the early response deadline - good luck to all!!

Oh, sweet. Thank you!!

For those of you still waiting to hear: I know how hard it is to wait and I know you don't want to seem pestering to the admissions office people, but you should call or email the lady in charge of UM SCN admissions because she is very helpful if you need to know a decision by a certain date. I needed to know for several reasons and I e-mailed them to ask when I would hear my decision. It seems like they kind of sped it up for me because I applied January 14... Decisions are guaranteed by mid April so either way, only 4 more weeks to go.

I talked to her on the phone and she told me they were about to release a big group of letters/decisions so I think they do it in waves rather than one at a time.

Good luck everybody :-)

Sara... have you heard yet? I'm so sick of waiting...

Hi! I am still waiting for a decision too.

Oh yes, my wolverine access showed acceptance a week and a half ago and I just got the acceptance letter in the mail yesterday.

^ Congratulations!!!!!!!

Hi! I am still waiting for a decision too.

I'm still waiting too. I hope we all find out soon! It just seems like so many people have already found out they got in, I'm worried there aren't very many spots left. :uhoh21:

Hi, I'm an out of state student. Of course I applied late January. I know stupid. anyways, when is the cut-off for hearing back for admission? Congrats to everyone accepted :)

The goal of the college was to have all decisions made by March 1st, i believe. But it was also said that those that applied would get decisions after six weeks (which was more like six months [well, five])

thanks Living4Peace. I don't know why I waited so long. I'm sure it hurt my chances of getting in. I'm just lucky I got interviews in my home state schools. so, we will see. :)

Well I wish you luck in whatever options you have. There is still time to be admitted by U of M, don't be discouraged. Just pray and keep your chin up. God always provides!
