University of Michigan 2nd Degree Accelerated BSN

Published

Has anyone applied to the University of Michigan's 2nd degree accelerated nursing program for start date Sept. 2014? Just curious to see what other applicants there are out there. I saw a very long thread in the past that had a lot of info on how long UofM takes to make decisions & felt we could all keep each other in the loop on how things are going for each of us. Good luck to all!

I got the same letter! It almost sounded like a rejection letter at first so I'm relieved there is still hope! Good luck everyone. Congrats on your weddings

amg92: I thought it was a rejection letter too when I first starting reading it!

Jane1117: I'm getting married in East Lansing. Where are you getting married?

I got the same email as well! I also emailed the SON admissions office and asked about some other things and whether or not they will send out decisions at different times (before mid-May) or all at the same time. She said that they hope to release letters before May but that we will for sure hear by mid-May. It seems as though they keep pushing back the "hear by" date. First they told me May 1st that we would hear. Patience is wearing thing over here!

yeah they definitely keep pushing back the dates. they pushed back the deadline to march and now they are pushing back the date they release decisions. It is getting harder and harder to wait.

I thought it was a rejection letter also.

jmb0514 I'm getting married in Grand Rapids. I'm guessing your an msu alum like me? I forgot, did you apply to states program?

Yea I graduated from MSU a few years ago. I applied to MSU but I knew I wouldn't get in because my undergrad GPA was lower than their average. I have heard U of M looks at everything though so I am hoping I stand a better chance there but we'll see.

My gpa was a 3.55 and I finally got into msu. Just keep trying! I was denied 3 times before I got in!

I agree! I applied initially in October so the waiting game is getting old! The sooner the better :)

I got an acceptance letter today!!!! Hope all of you did too!!

Congrats!!! :) Was it an e-mail or in the mail?

It was an email and they said they would send an official letter in the mail.
