Has anyone applied to the University of Michigan's 2nd degree accelerated nursing program for start date Sept. 2014? Just curious to see what other applicants there are out there. I saw a very long thread in the past that had a lot of info on how long UofM takes to make decisions & felt we could all keep each other in the loop on how things are going for each of us. Good luck to all!

Yes it was under the "application status" page. No I signed up for a guest account when I applied. I never received an e-mail from ITCS.

Okay. I'm just very confused because I haven't heard from the School of Nursing, but on Wolverine Access it says I have accepted admission, and I also got an email from ITCS saying "Welcome to the University of Michigan community". I don't know if these are both just the result from me accepting a spot on the waitlist or what.

That is very weird! I would contact the school of nursing because it sounds like you were accepted not wait-listed. Fingers crossed that you did get in!!

Is it true the Accelerated UM Program isn't running 2015-2016? Does anyone know why that is?

I believe it's because the program is a year and a half now and they only do one class at a time. They didn't have a class start in fall 2013 either. Now their program starts every other fall.

Were any of the other people on the wait-list contacted this week about their pre-req courses? They e-mailed me on Monday asking for info on a class that wasn't listed on their transfer equivalencies. They just needed a syllabus and a course description. I thought it was funny they didn't want that info before I was on the wait-list. Hopefully that's a good sign.

Hi JMB0514 - that happened to me. I was put on the waitlist, then they asked for info regarding my classes I took outside of the school. One week after I sent it to them I saw on Wolverine Access that I had been accepted, and then a few days after that I got the email from them confirming it. Good luck!

And thanks for the info about class entry. I wish it was still only one year long!

CONGRATULATIONS to all!! I just got accepted off the wait-list today! I am so excited! Where is everyone planning to live? Any ideas..? They don't have any on-campus housing for transfer students anymore (Accelerated students = transfer students). I am planning to visit the area in the next few days to have a look at some housing options.. I would really appreciate some input if possible!
