University of Michigan 2nd Degree Accelerated BSN

Published

Has anyone applied to the University of Michigan's 2nd degree accelerated nursing program for start date Sept. 2014? Just curious to see what other applicants there are out there. I saw a very long thread in the past that had a lot of info on how long UofM takes to make decisions & felt we could all keep each other in the loop on how things are going for each of us. Good luck to all!

i know, its been such a crazy wait. i dont think any program takes this long for admissions. good luck to you at your program!

Thank you! Hope you get in!

Hello. Sorry i dint reply sooner. I received a letter on March 2nd saying I was on the alternate list. The letter also stated that I had until April 14th to except my spot, I excepted right away. There is a mandatory meeting on May 9th. Again, good luck to all of you.

That strange. It seems like we would have heard a yes no or maybe by now then. How can you put someone on a wait list and still not respond to others.

has anyone else gotten a waitlist/acceptance letter?

nope, I still haven't heard anything. If there is a meeting on May 9th then I think we should find out soon.

You people need to chill out. I also know of somebody that got a letter. there is no "if" regarding the orientation meeting, its may 9th for sure. There is nothing strange about when letters are sent out and to whom. Nursing department runs the show not all of you.

Hmm not sure where the hostility is coming from. Asking questions is the reason for forums like these.

no one was trying to "run the show", they were reaching out to each other for information.

I talked to the con and they said they are trying to have all decisions out by mid May. Some people they put on the alternate list and others they haven't decided yet on whether they want to admit or wait list, etc. oh well. I would say no news is probably good news.

yeah, trying to stay optimistic. I was really hoping they would honor what they said about releasing decisions by May though.
