University of Michigan 2nd Degree Accelerated BSN

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Has anyone applied to the University of Michigan's 2nd degree accelerated nursing program for start date Sept. 2014? Just curious to see what other applicants there are out there. I saw a very long thread in the past that had a lot of info on how long UofM takes to make decisions & felt we could all keep each other in the loop on how things are going for each of us. Good luck to all!

Yeah...in a way, UofM gives just as much notice as MSU does, BUT, UofM has way longer to MAKE the decisions than MSU does, which is where I think the frustration sets in! Oh well. In the end I'll rest knowing I am going to a great school either way. Plus I already know MSU campus and feel comfortable there. But, it sure is tempting to have closer clincals...I'm not looking forward to driving 2-4 hours/day 3-4 days a week at MSU for a year!

Anyone have any news?

Same over here. I've basically given up the hope of hearing before May. So frustrating though!

I just decided to commit to msu.

Congrats! That's so exciting! Sparty on :)

Thanks :) go green!

yeah, congrats. thats nice to have a plan at least. I hope UofM hurries up with these decisions...I don't understand why it needs to take this long.

Hello. I have also applied to the ABSN at U of M! Just wondering if you guys have gotten anything from them? I applied in early November and haven't heard a thing yet.

They said they aren't releasing decisions until may. They extended the app deadline to march 1.

Does anyone know why they extended the application deadline?

I'm assuming they didn't get as many good applicants as they hoped. They've extended it in the past before too I've heard.
