Hi everyone, I've been looking around to see if anyone has started a thread for UM's Spring 2018 FNP program so I decided to start one myself so that we can all be here for each other. Applications opened up Apr 1st and I have started on my personal statement but my GPA is a little low and I'm afraid i won't get accepted; I have met the 3.0 requirement but I am still a little unsure. Also, I graduated from my BSN program end of last year, recently passed my NCLEX and got a job in the ER. Although, experience is not a requirement does that lower my chances?Anyone knows how the application process works for UM or have any advice, tips that would be useful? Can't wait to hear from you all. :-)
Quick question, I applied to other schools as well. For one of the schools, the start date is the last week of October. Is it a possibility that I can hear from UM by the end of August? I was told that they would start reviewing my application this week. How long does it take for the committee to review an application?

I called UM and they told that they sent letters through the US mail last week. What does that mean that the rejection letters are sent by mail only?
