Hi everyone, I've been looking around to see if anyone has started a thread for UM's Spring 2018 FNP program so I decided to start one myself so that we can all be here for each other. Applications opened up Apr 1st and I have started on my personal statement but my GPA is a little low and I'm afraid i won't get accepted; I have met the 3.0 requirement but I am still a little unsure. Also, I graduated from my BSN program end of last year, recently passed my NCLEX and got a job in the ER. Although, experience is not a requirement does that lower my chances?Anyone knows how the application process works for UM or have any advice, tips that would be useful? Can't wait to hear from you all. :-)
Hii Nurse2792! I literally made an account here just to answer your post. I had the same experience with my interview and I thought it was strange so I wanted to reach out to let you know you're not alone lol. I'm not sure why our interviews went the way that they did but I'm just going to hope for the best! I feel pretty qualified so I'm not going to let this interview make me feel otherwise and I don't think you should either (not sure if you were or not lol but I definitely felt a little shaken). Regardless I know everything happens for a reason and I hope to see you in class come January 2018 :)
Hey guys,
I felt the same as well, and I got accepted 2 days later. The interview is pretty short, I answered each question asked in less than 10 seconds. I guess they are not really interested in a lot of talking, but they expect the candidate to be precise. Good luck everyone and I hope to meet you all!

Hey guys
I was wondering if anyone had the same experience during interview. My interview literally lasted with 4 minutes with two doctors. Seemed like I got robbed from an actual interview. Not at all what I expected.
